UW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for a Senior Epic Cogito Business Analyst 3 position.

WORK SCHEDULE

·       100% FTE – 40 hours per week

·       Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 – 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday


DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION


UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

·       100% remote opportunity

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying business and technical impacts of user requirements and creates ad hoc reports and assists with creation of other data outputs to support the clinical and business needs for the enterprise
  • Working with the Epic Cogito Team, Analytics Team members, Epic Applications’ teams, Clinical Informatics, and internal UW Medicine customers to provide a service oriented, cross-functional, knowledgeable, single point of technical leadership to support Epic Cogito data and reporting needs across UW Medicine

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Must be Epic certified in:
    • Cogito Fundamentals
    • Caboodle Data Model 
    • Clarity Data Model
    • Clinical Data model
    • Cogito Tools Administration is preferred

4+ years’ experience must include the following:


  • Advanced experience with BI reporting tools
  • Strong experience with SQL
  • 3+ years’ experience with Epic Cogito reporting tools (SlicerDicer, SQL Metrics, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards)
  • Advanced experience working through the complete report development lifecycle for small to medium scale projects, including leading requirements gathering and documentation
  • Advanced understanding of BI reporting best practices.
  • 3+ years’ experience performing progressively more complex and responsible Business Analysis and Project Management tasks, including the ability to lead a project with a duration longer than 3-months, and a level of effort estimated at less than 500 hours
  • Advanced experience with healthcare data analytics
  • Applied practical knowledge of healthcare data and terminology
  • Advanced, applied experience with formal project management
  • Advanced, applied experience supporting a team of developers
  • Demonstrated experience with various systems application maintenance/support, configuration, and implementation
  • Demonstrated experience with Epic Clarity Data Model reporting
