Job description

Build a Safer World.

TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure.

As Senior Manager, Contracts & Compliance, you will build and own TRM’s government contracts administration and compliance function within Legal. You will establish the processes, systems and working relationships that keep our government contracts compliant and on track, from proposal review and award through modifications, renewals and closeout. Working closely with Legal, Sales, Capture, Finance and delivery teams, you will turn contract requirements into clear obligations, owners and deadlines, and shape a function as TRM’s public sector business grows.

The impact you will have:

  • Own administration and compliance for TRM’s government contracts, with an emphasis on US federal contracts, and maintain a central register of obligations, owners, deadlines and required registrations across each contract’s lifecycle.

  • Use AI to extract obligations, milestones and deadlines from contracts into that register and keep it current, so risks surface early instead of at the deadline.

  • Lead proposal compliance review: use AI to analyze solicitations and build compliance matrices, then coordinate reps and certs, identify mandatory forms, and flag exceptions for counsel.

  • Build practical government-contracts policies, procedures, templates and records, and establish clear review, approval, tracking and escalation workflows across Legal, Capture, Sales, Finance and delivery.

  • Administer contract modifications, task orders, subcontracts and flowdowns, and coordinate renewals, option exercises and closeout, working with Finance on contractual invoicing and reporting.

  • Partner with the CLO and counsel on interpretation of terms, procurement requirements and legal exceptions, and translate their guidance into repeatable processes and clear instructions for business teams.

  • Build reusable AI workflows for repeatable contract and compliance reviews so the function scales as public sector contract volume grows.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible US government contracts experience, including independently administering federal prime contracts through award, modifications, performance and closeout.

  • Demonstrated experience reviewing solicitations, creating proposal compliance matrices, and coordinating representations, certifications and mandatory submission requirements.

  • Practical knowledge of FAR/DFARS, IDIQs, task and delivery orders, and applicable subcontract flowdowns, with sound judgment about when to involve counsel.

  • A track record of building or materially improving contracts processes, templates or tracking systems and managing obligations and deadlines across multiple contracts.

  • Production AI fluency: comfort using AI to analyze solicitations, draft compliance matrices and manage obligations, with the judgment to validate output on regulatory detail.

  • Clear communication and strong cross-functional judgment, and a hands-on, service-oriented approach that surfaces risks with practical recommendations.

  • Nice to have: experience with state, local or international government contracts; administering contracts for software, SaaS or data services; or working with GSA Schedules.

About the Team:

  • You will join TRM’s Legal team and build a new government-contracts function, partnering closely with the CLO and counsel.

  • The work is high-judgment and cross-functional: you set the standard for how TRM stays compliant while moving fast on public sector opportunities.

  • Mission-first, fast-paced, service-oriented culture that values practical risk management over paperwork.

  • AI-native approach: you use AI daily to analyze solicitations, manage obligations and build repeatable reviews.

Team Operating Rhythms:

  • Distributed, not distant: a US-based, remote role collaborating across time zones with regular overlap for syncs.

  • Slack-first, async communication; @mention for timely responses.

  • Weekly 1:1s and team syncs, plus proposal and contract-review rhythms tied to deadlines.

  • Close coordination with Sales, Capture, Finance and delivery leaders.

Our work sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and fighting crime. The problems are complex, the stakes are real, and the environment evolves quickly. The pace and intensity of the work reflect the importance of the mission. As a result, the way we operate requires a high level of ownership, adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

At TRM, you should expect:

  • Priorities and targets to change quickly as we experiment and iterate

  • Work that often requires operating with a high degree of ambiguity

  • A high level of personal ownership and accountability

  • Close collaboration across teams and functions

  • Frequent, high-touch communication

  • Creative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking

  • A pace that rewards urgency, adaptability, and outcomes

We also recognize that this style of operating is not for everyone. If you are primarily optimizing for predictability or a consistently balanced workload, we encourage you to use the interview process to pressure test whether this environment is truly the right fit.
