About the Company

Our client is a U.S.-based creative content and social media agency that helps local businesses communicate their stories through video, photography, and social media content.

The agency works with businesses such as restaurants, community-focused organizations, and local brands, producing authentic content designed to build trust and strengthen their digital presence.

The team takes a storytelling-first approach to content creation, combining creative strategy with real footage and brand stories to produce social media content, branded videos, podcasts, and other digital assets.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and dependable Bilingual Video Editor (Spanish/English) to join a small creative team as a long-term independent contractor.

You'll work remotely with footage captured by a U.S.-based production team and turn it into engaging content for clients every week.

The work will range from Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook content to brand films, event recaps, customer stories, and a Spanish-language video podcast.

This is a hands-on editing role for someone who combines strong technical skills with good creative judgment, storytelling ability, organization, and reliable communication.

What You'll Do

Short-Form & Social Video Editing
  • Edit short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and other social platforms.
  • Transform raw footage into engaging, platform-ready social content.
  • Follow scripts, creative notes, and client-specific direction.
  • Adapt edits and exports to the requirements of each platform.
  • Handle revision rounds and incorporate feedback accurately.
Brand & Storytelling Content
  • Edit longer-form brand films, event recaps, and client story videos.
  • Build clear and engaging narratives from footage captured by the production team.
  • Maintain appropriate pacing, tone, and visual consistency based on each client's brand and audience.
  • Balance polished production with authentic, social-first storytelling.
Podcast Editing
  • Edit a Spanish-language video podcast.
  • Clean and balance audio.
  • Add captions, graphics, and other necessary visual elements.
  • Prepare final podcast content for distribution across appropriate digital platforms.
Post-Production
  • Perform color correction, audio mixing, captioning, and basic motion graphics.
  • Select and organize footage based on scripts and creative direction.
  • Ensure final deliverables meet technical and visual quality standards.
  • Export finished files in the appropriate formats and specifications.
File & Workflow Management
  • Keep project files and footage organized within shared storage systems.
  • Maintain clear file naming and version control.
  • Manage multiple editing assignments and deadlines.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project progress, questions, revisions, or potential delays.
  • Deliver projects consistently and on time.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
  • Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating short-form social content and storytelling.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Fluent Spanish, written and spoken.
  • Good professional working English, written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of editing fundamentals, including pacing, storytelling, audio, captions, and visual flow.
  • Ability to perform basic color correction and audio mixing.
  • Ability to create simple motion graphics.
  • Strong organization and file-management skills.
  • Consistent communication and reliable, on-time delivery.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Own computer capable of efficiently handling 4K video footage.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Availability for at least a few hours of weekday overlap with U.S. Central Time (CT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics tools.
  • Previous experience editing video podcasts or interview-based content.
  • Experience producing content for restaurants, food, hospitality, or local businesses.
  • Previous experience working with a marketing or creative agency.
  • Experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients or teams.
  • Advanced color grading skills beyond basic color correction.

  • Ability to create compelling stories from raw footage.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency.
  • Spanish and English communication skills.
  • Experience with podcasts, interviews, or longer-form storytelling.
  • Understanding of audio, color, captions, and basic motion graphics.
  • Ability to follow creative direction and respond effectively to revisions.
  • Reliability, organization, and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

What Success Looks Like

  • Client videos are delivered consistently and on schedule.
  • Short-form content is engaging, polished, and optimized for each social platform.
  • Longer-form videos communicate clear and compelling stories.
  • Spanish-language podcast episodes maintain strong audio and visual quality.
  • Revision requests are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Project files remain organized and easy for the creative team to access.
  • Communication with the U.S.-based team is proactive and dependable.
  • Finished work consistently reflects the client's creative direction and brand.

Why Join Us?

  • 100% remote opportunity from Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, or Mexico.
  • Long-term contractor opportunity with a growing U.S. creative agency.
  • Work across social media, branded content, storytelling, events, and podcasts.
  • Edit authentic footage produced by a professional creative team.
  • Work with a variety of businesses and content styles.
  • Have meaningful creative involvement rather than simply executing repetitive edits.

  • Applications without a portfolio or reel may not be considered.
  • Candidates should include or be prepared to discuss a project they are particularly proud of.

  • Candidates must use their own computer, internet connection, and editing software.
  • Candidates must have at least a few hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time during weekdays.
  • Strong Spanish is essential because the role includes editing Spanish-language content.
