Job description

Shopify Growth Developer (CRO), DTC Wellness Brand

About Sierra Studio

Sierra Studio is an AI engineering and talent company that partners with a small, highly vetted group of growing companies. We run the hiring process on behalf of our partners, so when you apply through Sierra you get a direct line to the team and a process that respects your time.

Location: Brazil, remote (must overlap with US business hours, ET to PT)

Compensation: $50k – $100k USD per year, DOE, plus a monthly health and wellness stipend

Employment: full-time (40 hrs/week), exclusive

Reports to: Founder & CEO

About our hiring partner

Our hiring partner is a fast-growing DTC wellness brand on a mission to help lactose-intolerant people enjoy dairy again, symptom-free. They have strong product-market fit, a loyal customer base with more than a thousand reviews, and double-digit month-over-month growth across their own store and Amazon.

The team is small and lean: the founder, a Head of Growth, and a handful of specialists. Every improvement in site conversion goes straight into ad efficiency, so the person in this seat sees the impact of their work on revenue within weeks.

About the Role

This is a growth developer role. Most of your week goes into turning ideas into live pages and tests: taking a designed or AI-generated landing page and shipping it as a theme section with the buy box and tracking wired up, building test variants, running and reading A/B tests, fixing Core Web Vitals and technical SEO, and automating parts of content and static ad production.

You'll work directly with the founder and the Head of Growth, with full ownership of the storefront and very little red tape. You'll be the only developer in this seat, building with your own hands, proposing experiments, and pushing back on ideas you don't think will convert.

The top of the salary range is reserved for someone who can also own AI systems for content and ad creation (product photos, graphics, and static ad variations).

What You'll Own

Landing pages and PDPs

  • Ship landing pages for paid traffic (Meta, Google, influencer), matched to campaign intent, creative, and audience, including mid-funnel educational pages paired to specific ads

  • Build and iterate product detail pages: variant logic, subscription upsells, bundles, reviews, and trust elements, all mobile-first

  • Turn AI-generated HTML and Figma files into clean, reusable Liquid sections and blocks

CRO and experimentation

  • Run a structured testing program: hypothesis, build, test, analyze, iterate

  • Run and read A/B tests in Shoplift, and optimize cart and upsell flows in Rebuy

  • Report wins and losses with real numbers: conversion rate, AOV, subscription rate, and revenue impact

Tracking and technical SEO

  • Own the tracking stack: GTM (client and server-side), GA4, Meta Pixel and CAPI, Consent Mode, UTMs, and Elevar

  • Improve Core Web Vitals and page speed, and maintain JSON-LD schema, canonicals, and sitemap health

Theme, integrations, and AI

  • Keep the Liquid theme clean and fast as apps and features are added (StayAI subscriptions, Klaviyo, Rebuy, quizzes)

  • Use AI dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or similar) to ship faster, and review everything before it goes live

  • Build AI workflows for content and static ad production

Qualifications

Required

  • Hands-on Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with live pages you personally built

  • Proven CRO work: A/B tests you ran, with before and after numbers and the method you used

  • Landing page velocity: you can take a design and ship a working, tracked section quickly

  • Tracking literacy across GTM (client and server-side), GA4, Meta CAPI, Consent Mode, and UTMs

  • Experience with subscription platforms (Recharge, StayAI, or similar) and Klaviyo

  • Comfort building with AI tools, including reviewing and refining AI-generated code

  • Fluent English (C1 or higher), since you'll be in Slack and on live calls with a US team

  • Happy building solo with your own hands, with no team reporting to you

  • Available full-time and exclusively: no side clients, freelance work, own stores, or active side ventures

Preferred

  • Experience in health, wellness, or supplement DTC

  • Ability to propose layouts and wireframes in Figma, beyond implementing a designer's files

  • Interactive UX with animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion, Rive, Lottie), used with purpose

  • Experience producing AI-generated content and static ads at scale

  • Technical SEO work with schema.org and structured data for AI search

We care most about evidence of outcomes, so the results you can show matter more to us than your years of experience.

Hiring Process

  1. Intro call with Sierra (30 min). A conversation about your background, what you've shipped, and what you're looking for next. We'll also confirm availability, exclusivity, and salary expectations.

  2. Technical interview with Sierra (60 min). A session with one of our engineers to walk through pages you've built, your tracking and testing setup, and how you work with AI tools.

  3. Paid take-home (about 4 hours). An open-ended work sample based on the real storefront, with a short technical component. You'll be paid for your time.

  4. Final interview with the founder. A conversation about your take-home, how you'd approach the first few months, and fit with the team.

We aim to keep the whole process moving quickly and will keep you updated at every step.
