Job Description
- Lead complex professional liability insurance defense matters from initial evaluation through resolution or trial.
- Develop litigation strategies, evaluate exposure, and provide clear recommendations to sophisticated clients.
- Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Manage matters independently while collaborating with attorneys and support professionals as needed.
- Communicate directly with insurance carriers, corporate clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
- Apply senior-level judgment to high-value and technically complex claims.
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and consistently high-quality legal work.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of an established insurance defense practice.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license.
- 8+ years of professional liability insurance defense experience.
- Strong litigation, case strategy, written advocacy, deposition, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to independently manage a sophisticated litigation caseload.
- Experience representing insurers, institutional clients, or businesses in contested matters.
- Excellent client communication and professional judgment.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
