Job description

Overview: As the National Account Manager, you will drive impactful sales growth by leading and expanding relationships with a targeted portfolio of high-value national and regional customer groups. Leveraging strong distributor partnerships and cross-functional collaboration, you will develop and execute growth strategies, sales programs, and business development initiatives that align with organizational objectives. Through executive-level engagement, data-driven planning, and disciplined execution, you will build mutually beneficial partnerships that accelerate revenue growth, strengthen market position, and support long-term business success. Your compensation package will include:

Responsibilities:
  • Strategically lead and manage all sales activities related to the strategic customer portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
  • Cultivate and strengthen executive-level relationships with distributor accounts to drive long-term strategic alignment, data sharing, and mutual growth.
  • Design, implement, and oversee annual marketing and business development plans for the strategic customer portfolio, including bi-annual performance reviews with senior leadership. Ensure accountability for execution and outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with distributors, the FSF, and the strategic customer portfolio, including program alignment, pricing, training, promotional programming, and targeted sales initiatives.
  • Deliver comprehensive quarterly reporting on strategic customer portfolio sell-through performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the AprilAire Field Sales Force (FSF) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to ensure seamless execution of national strategies at regional and local levels.
  • Develop and manage annual incentive programs, securing alignment and approval from the Vice President of Sales and ensuring measurable ROI.
  • Develop, manage, and partner closely with Channel Marketing on annual incentive programs.
  • Lead performance accountability efforts, ensuring strategic customer portfolio commitments, including sales volume targets and growth objectives, are achieved in exchange for strategic incentives.
  • Represent AprilAire at distribution and industry events as a senior leader, reinforcing brand presence and strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze market intelligence and sales data to inform strategic decisions, optimize marketing plans, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Resolve challenges related to distribution or sales support within the strategic customer portfolio in a professional and timely manner.
  • Identify and champion new product opportunities, including market sizing, pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and fit within the strategic customer portfolio's growth strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Must live a major airport in the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast 
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time away from your home office 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Experience managing relationships within multi-site ownership networks and consolidated business groups preferred.
  • Proven success in leading strategic account management and driving growth through complex distributor networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence cross-functional teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth-oriented, optimistic approach to challenges and opportunities.
