You will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Akamai's global billing ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the strategic direction of legacy enterprise billing stacks with cloud compute systems to eliminate customer friction.

As a Director Product Management, you will be responsible for:

• Driving the overarching product vision and multi-year roadmap for billing and commercial platform and experience across Compute, Delivery, and Security.
• Architect the convergence of legacy enterprise billing stacks with high-growth cloud compute billing systems to eliminate customer friction.
• Enabling product-led growth through frictionless customer journeys, promotional credits, real-time cost visibility, and self-service account management.
• Building enterprise commerce capabilities supporting negotiated pricing, complex commitments, custom discounts, credits, and consolidated billing requirements.
• Partnering with engineering delivery organizations to transition technical teams toward modern agile frameworks and maintain SOX compliance.
• Establishing reusable commercial capabilities for rating, metering, entitlements, and invoicing to accelerate new product launches and M&A integrations.
• Leading cross-functional alignment across Product, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Legal to turn billing into a strategic growth enabler.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, billing, fintech, or cloud revenue operations.
• Possess proven experience architecting complex billing system integrations, merging legacy enterprise platforms with modern consumption-based cloud systems.
• Demonstrate expertise in usage-based monetization models, pricing enablement, metering, rating, and enterprise contract constructs.
• Have a track record of driving organizational change and influencing technical delivery teams to adopt agile development methodologies.
• Maintain deep knowledge of financial compliance standards, including implementing strict SOX controls across high-growth platform environments.
• Exhibit exceptional cross-functional leadership skills to align executive stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Legal.
• Show experience structuring billing and monetization platforms for emerging AI technology, agentic workflows, and acquired platforms.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $167,600 - $301,800/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
