Job Description: The adjunct instructor position is a reoccurring appointment for the teaching of specific graduate social work courses. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for course instruction and/or capstone committee member or chair (DSW and MSW online). The instructor may serve as a field liaison, assisting the Director of Field Education in overseeing field program activity commensurate with the mission of the University and maintaining service relationships with community agencies/organizations.

This position reports to the DSW and MSW Program Directors and to the Dean in the Carver School of Social Work.

Job Duties:  Job duties include, but are not limited to:  teaching online courses, responding to students’ questions in a timely manner (generally considered to be 24-hour window), grading work in accordance with grading rubrics within 7 days of submission, maintaining close communication with lead professor, entering final grades into Workday within the time frame allotted by student records (generally within 4 to 7 days of class ending), entering grades and attendance in Moodle at least weekly, and attending trainings and instructional meetings as required to maintain competency in managing courses.
