About the role

The Associate Programmatic  Buyer is a foundational contributor and key support lead on the digital media buying team, responsible for assisting media leads with the planning, trafficking, and platform execution of client campaigns across programmatic channels.

This role serves as an entry-to-mid level launchpad to build hands-on expertise in digital media operations and programmatic execution—learning campaign setup across Demand-Side Platforms, assisting with campaign maintenance, and taking on increasing ownership over time under the direct guidance of Senior Media Buyers and leads. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a solutions-first mindset to task execution, and approaches their work with exceptional attention to detail, radical accountability, and an eagerness to learn.

Time Zone Requirement: Must be able to work standard business hours in PT, MT, CT, or ET

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Buying Support

  • Assists Senior Media Buyers in drafting client-focused digital media plans, gathering partner forecast/abilities, and entering finalized plans into campaign management systems with accuracy.
  • Leads end-to-end planning, execution, and strategy for accounts or test budgets, taking full ownership of campaign lifecycle management under light supervision.
  • Maintains campaign budget tracking files, updates rolling opportunity logs, and organizes media specs across active accounts.
  • Supports buying and rate negotiations led by senior team members, learning negotiation techniques and agency pricing benchmarks over time.
  • Gains foundational exposure to programmatic strategy, learning how targeting parameters, bid strategies, and inventory selection function within DSP platforms.

Campaign Execution, DSP Setup & Trafficking

  • Serves as the primary operational support for campaign trafficking—reviewing creative specs, generating tracking parameters/pixels, and performing launch QA across platforms.
  • Executes hands-on platform setup in DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360) under supervisor review—uploading creative assets, configuring targeting parameters, and linking deal IDs.
  • Monitors and owns daily campaign pacing and performance fluctuations. Ability to proactively make pacing adjustments and work up to performance optimizations and insights to support Sr. Buyers.
  • Assists with mid-campaign and wrap-up performance reporting, pulling data from platforms and organizing insights for client presentations.
  • Handles ad hoc operational tasks with flexibility and a can-do attitude to support overall media team efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in-platform bidable media, including ownership of pacing,  making recommendations and optimizations. 
  • Strong eagerness to stay apprised of platform capabilities, inventory landscape and emerging ad formats. .
  • Baseline familiarity with digital media channels (streaming audio, display, video, programmatic) or ad tech platforms is a plus.
  • High degree of accuracy and extreme attention to detail—you take pride in getting platform settings, tracking tags, and numbers right the first time.
  • Comfortable operating in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with accounts, client stakeholders and Supporting Sr. Buyers..
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment—adaptable to evolving processes and shifting priorities.
  • Embodies radical accountability: owns assigned tasks fully, communicates proactively when things go off-track, and treats every challenge as a learning opportunity.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), AI tools, and communicating both written and verbal.

The pay range for this role is: $65k USD
