In this highly visible global role, you will lead the development and execution of transformational initiatives that modernize trade compliance through process standardization, digital enablement, automation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and scalable governance. You will partner with senior leaders across the organization to shape future-state capabilities, strengthen compliance programs, mitigate risk, and deliver sustainable business value while supporting operational excellence and growth across multiple regions and functions.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Lead the global strategy, vision, and roadmap for trade compliance transformation, aligning regulatory requirements, business priorities, and operational objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Trade Compliance, Manufacturing, and business leadership on modernization initiatives, operational excellence, and digital innovation.
- Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and risk assessments that support informed decision-making and enterprise priorities.
- Lead enterprise-wide programs that establish new compliance frameworks, governance models, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
- Monitor emerging regulatory, technology, and industry trends and translate insights into scalable solutions that strengthen compliance and business performance.
- Design and implement globally standardized trade compliance processes across regions, functions, and operating environments.
- Drive the adoption of automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and digital technologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and decision-making.
- Establish standards for compliance systems, data governance, workflow optimization, and performance measurement.
- Provide strategic leadership for technology transformation initiatives, including trade compliance platform implementations, integrations, and enhancements.
- Resolve complex trade compliance challenges by balancing regulatory obligations, operational requirements, and business objectives.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks while enabling organizational agility and growth.
- Provide expert leadership during audits, regulatory reviews, compliance events, and business transformation activities.
- Partner with leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, legal, information technology, and operations to drive enterprise outcomes.
- Lead executive governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional teams to build alignment and accountability.
- Represent Emerson with external stakeholders, industry associations, regulatory agencies, and professional networks.
- Contribute thought leadership that advances trade compliance practices, innovation, and organizational capability.

For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Significant experience leading global trade compliance programs within multinational manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex organizations.
- Deep knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, customs requirements, sanctions programs, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives involving process redesign, systems implementation, automation, and organizational change.
- Experience leveraging digital technologies, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven methodologies to improve compliance performance.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align regulatory requirements with operational and strategic objectives.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead enterprise initiatives in complex matrixed environments.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, operating models, and compliance strategies that support global business operations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate risk, and deliver sustainable solutions in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.
