Job Title: Senior Lansweeper Technical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lansweeper Technical Engineer / Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Lansweeper deployment, configuration, asset discovery, inventory management, integrations, troubleshooting, and IT asset management.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting Lansweeper solutions across enterprise environments, including IT asset discovery, inventory, network discovery, software/hardware inventory, reporting, dashboards, integrations, and automation.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, Active Directory, databases, SNMP, WMI, SSH, REST APIs, and enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, administer, and support Lansweeper environments.
  • Plan and execute Lansweeper installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Configure asset discovery and network discovery across enterprise environments.
  • Configure discovery methods such as:
    • Windows/WMI
    • Active Directory
    • SNMP
    • SSH
    • IP Range Scanning
    • VMware / Virtualization environments
    • Cloud and other supported discovery methods
  • Configure and maintain Lansweeper scanning servers and scanning targets.
  • Monitor asset discovery and resolve scanning failures and discovery issues.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software asset inventory.
  • Configure asset relationships, locations, users, departments, and other inventory attributes.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and queries based on business requirements.
  • Support software license and software inventory reporting.
  • Configure integrations with external ITSM, security, monitoring, and enterprise applications.
  • Work with Lansweeper APIs / REST APIs for data extraction and integration requirements.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, scanning, database, agent, network, and integration-related issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Support Lansweeper upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and environment optimization.
  • Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration documents, and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with customers, infrastructure teams, network teams, security teams, and application teams.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to customer IT teams.
  • Participate in implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities.

Required Technical Skills

Lansweeper

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Lansweeper experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Lansweeper architecture and deployment.
  • Experience with asset discovery and inventory management.
  • Experience with network discovery and scanning.
  • Experience configuring scanning targets and scanning credentials.
  • Experience creating custom reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with software and hardware inventory.
  • Experience troubleshooting scanning and discovery issues.
  • Experience with Lansweeper integrations and APIs.
  • Knowledge of Lansweeper IT Asset Management / IT Discovery capabilities.

Infrastructure & Networking

Strong understanding of:

  • Knowledge of API authentication and integration methods.
  • Experience integrating Lansweeper with external systems is preferred.

Experience integrating Lansweeper with one or more of the following will be an advantage:

  • Prepare Lansweeper implementation and deployment plans.
  • Configure Lansweeper based on customer infrastructure and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with customer infrastructure, network, security, and application teams.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Prepare implementation and operational documentation.
  • Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for customer teams.
  • Provide post-implementation support and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Lansweeper experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, asset management, system administration, or related technical roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer requirements.

Preferred Certifications / Skills

Certifications or experience in the following will be an advantage:

  • Lansweeper certification / training
  • Microsoft certifications
  • ITIL
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA
  • VMware certifications
  • IT Asset Management / ITAM certifications
  • ServiceNow / Jira administration experience
