The Opportunity

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Account Manager, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day service and support to commercial clients while responding promptly to inquiries
  • Lead renewal strategy discussions and coordinate execution of service deliverables
  • Assist clients with claim reporting, coverage questions, and policy-related requests
  • Market, quote, and prepare proposals for new business and renewal opportunities
  • Analyze risk exposures and develop coverage recommendations aligned with client needs
  • Negotiate with carrier partners to secure competitive terms and appropriate coverage solutions
  • Process renewals, endorsements, policy changes, invoicing, and premium collection activities
  • Support account retention and growth through consultative client relationship management
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial lines insurance experience
  • Active California Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and underwriting concepts
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations impacting commercial insurance
  • Experience marketing accounts and negotiating with insurance carriers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and agency management systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or similar credentials
  • Experience supporting Producers in new business strategy and account development
  • Experience using Applied EPIC, Indio, Salesforce, Zoho, PATA, Resource Pro, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience leading renewal strategies and client service initiatives
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear, client-focused manner
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and industry education

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $90,000–$117,500 annually

This position is Remote to CA Residents

  • Remote: This role is primarily remote.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support office implementations, training, and collaboration with project teams.
