Working closely with customers, product management, engineering, sales, and executive leadership, you will drive market strategy, product positioning, and commercial growth in one of the fastest-growing segments of the semiconductor industry.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic, technically accomplished Director of Product Marketing to lead the global product strategy for our next-generation photonics (SiPh) engineering and production test solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between optical engineering and commercial execution, supporting our “lab to fab” product strategy. You will be responsible for defining the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, product roadmap, and ecosystem partnerships for high-volume automated wafer-level and die-level electrical and optical test platforms.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the semiconductor backend test and assembly landscape and has managed capital equipment in production test environments. Ideal candidate could articulate the challenges faced by OSATs, IDMs, and pure-play foundries with experience building solutions in these domains. Beneficial if candidate has experience with microLED, VCSEL, optical transceivers (pluggables), co-packaged optics (CPO) or RF technologies.


Key Responsibilities BU growth and technology

· Accountable for revenue, product creation and delivery, customer satisfaction

· Product Champion, define and own the roadmap that drives revenue growth and market share with differentiated products and services

· Lead product team, capturing customer requirements,driving comprehensive Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) to influence Engineering and Product Management long-term roadmaps.

· Conduct continuous competitive intelligence and market analysis on automated alignment, instrumentation, interconnect and wafer prober ecosystems to maintain our competitive edge.


Product Positioning & Value Proposition

· Develop clear product positioning against competitive solutions, articulating our advantages in measurement, automation, cost of test (COT) and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

· Establish value-based pricing models and ROI calculators that demonstrate yield optimization and test-time reductions to customer executives.

· Synthesize highly complex technical specifications (e.g., sub-micron optical alignment speeds, multi-band wavelength testing and parallel test) into differentiated value propositions.


Go-to-Market & Growth Strategy

· Define and execute a 3-to-5-year global growth strategy for our photonics product portfolio to increase market share in high-volume manufacturing (HVM) environments.

· Architect comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) campaigns for automated wafer-probe and final-test optical test solutions, ensuring alignment across sales, applications and marketing.

· Identify and quantify emerging test and assembly use cases (e.g., multiple test insertions for co-packaged optics, laser-on-wafer integration, and 2.5D/3D hybrid bonding) to anticipate evolving electrical and optical wafer test requirements.


Ecosystem & Sales Enablement

· Champion cross-functional collaboration between Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure market success.

· Build and nurture strategic technical marketing partnerships with leading technology companies, component foundries, and eco system partners.

· Create technical marketing collateral, whitepapers, application notes, and competitive matrixes to optimize global sales enablement.

· Represent the company as a thought leader at key international industry forums (e.g., ECOC, OFC, SPIE Photonics West, and SEMICON).


Required Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related hardware discipline. An MBA or advanced technical degree (MS/PhD) is strongly preferred.


Experience: Minimum 8–10+ years of product marketing, product management, or business development experience within the semiconductor capital equipment industry.


Technical Domain Expertise:

·       History of building capital equipment and leading product teams in semiconductor market

·       Familiarity with the challenges of optical-to-electrical (O-E) probing, passive/active optical alignment, O-E testing and data management


Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing strategic interactions with global tier-1 hyper-scalers, optical hardware manufacturers, and foundries.


Communication: Exceptional capability to articulate dense, nuanced optical engineering limitations and capabilities to both technical engineering teams and C-level executives.
