Position Overview

The OEM Account Representative – Golf Cart will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by developing and managing relationships with OEM partners, golf cart manufacturers, dealers, and vehicle builders within the golf cart industry. This individual will work closely with OEM customers to understand vehicle requirements, electrical systems, production needs, and performance goals while delivering tailored lithium battery solutions designed for a wide range of golf cart applications.

This role requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who can manage complex sales cycles, support long-term OEM partnerships, and contribute to scalable growth within the golf cart market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for golf cart OEM customers, managing inbound inquiries, ongoing account needs, and day-to-day customer relationships.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new OEM opportunities among golf cart manufacturers, vehicle builders, fleet operators, and other industry partners.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners to understand vehicle electrical systems, battery compartments, space constraints, performance requirements, and integration needs.
  • Educate customers on lithium battery solutions, including performance, safety features, weight savings, cycle life, charging capabilities, and overall advantages compared to traditional lead-acid systems.
  • Provide tailored battery recommendations based on vehicle voltage, capacity, range, performance requirements, vehicle configuration, and intended use.
  • Develop and manage a robust OEM sales pipeline using CRM tools, maintaining accurate forecasts, account activity, and opportunity stages.
  • Prepare quotes, volume pricing, and long-term supply agreements aligned with customer production schedules and growth plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product integration and on-time delivery.
  • Support product testing, validation, installation, and feedback loops with OEM partners to ensure battery solutions meet vehicle and customer requirements.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key OEM accounts to drive repeat business, product expansion, and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Eco Battery's presence within existing OEM accounts through additional vehicle models, battery platforms, and product offerings.
  • Partner with marketing on OEM-focused initiatives, trade shows, product launches, sales materials, and other golf cart industry initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on golf cart industry trends, including lithium conversion, vehicle electrification, performance applications, fleet adoption, and emerging OEM platforms.
  • Monitor competitor products, market developments, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for Eco Battery's product portfolio.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or business development experience in OEM, B2B, or manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in the golf cart, automotive, powersports, battery, or related vehicle industry strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of golf cart electrical systems and battery applications, including 36V, 48V, and 72V systems, is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with major golf cart platforms such as Club Car, E-Z-GO, and Yamaha is a plus.
  • Understanding of lithium battery systems, BMS technology, charging systems, and battery integration is a plus.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage longer sales cycles and develop strong, long-term customer partnerships.
  • Experience working with OEMs, manufacturers, dealers, distributors, or other channel partners is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, product, operations, and supply chain teams.
