We are looking for a senior technology leader to own the engineering, data, platform, and technology strategy for a fast-growing digital business. You will work as an embedded member of the client's leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO, Finance, Operations, Product, Commercial, and other senior stakeholders to align technology priorities with business goals.
This is a remote role based in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall technology, engineering, and data strategy.
- Partner with senior leadership to translate business priorities into clear technology roadmaps.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Product, Commercial, and Technology.
- Lead prioritization discussions and align stakeholders on timelines, dependencies, investments, and trade-offs.
- Communicate technology strategy, risks, progress, and business impact clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Influence decisions through structured recommendations, data, and clear business rationale.
- Lead engineering and data teams through managers and technical leads.
- Oversee platform architecture, cloud infrastructure, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Strengthen analytics and data capabilities to support executive decision-making.
- Own security, data privacy, compliance, access governance, and technology risk.
- Manage technology budgets, vendors, infrastructure costs, and build-vs-buy decisions.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve engineering and business productivity.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within startups, scale-ups, or fast-growing businesses.
- Experience leading engineering and/or data teams through senior managers or technical leads.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working directly with CEOs, founders, and senior leadership teams.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive alignment across multiple business functions.
- Excellent executive communication, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to translate technical topics into clear business impact, risks, and recommendations.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native platforms, architecture, data systems, and infrastructure.
- Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, and strategic technology investments.
- Comfortable making high-impact decisions in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
- Experience in regulated or data-sensitive industries such as fintech, insurance, financial services, or similar environments is preferred.
