The IAM Engineering team is part of Cloud Technology Group, which delivers cutting-edge cloud solutions to the market. We design, implement, deploy and operate the Cloud IAM platform, with a primary mission to enable customers the best IAM experience and features while also making it easy for product teams to integrate in a seamless manner.

Partner with the best

As a Senior II Software Engineer, you will join a team of software engineers and architects. Your team will enhance IAM core services and will design and develop new features. This requires a mindset of building resilient, fault-tolerant software to run at five 9's availability and high levels of performance and reliability, in both centralized and regionally deployed architectures.

As a Senior II Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and performant solutions
• Building reliable and regionally deployed IAM systems that are fault-tolerant tolerant
• Building, integrating, supporting and improving IAM services on the Akamai Compute Platform
• Designing and developing tools to make the deployed software operate seamlessly
• Researching new technologies as they emerge for improving the IAM experience and features at Akamai

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Have 5+ years of experience with Python or Java
• Have extensive experience developing software in a Linux environment
• Have a track record of delivering reliable and secure software
• Possess solid knowledge of IAM technologies
• Have experience working in an enterprise environment and tools, such as GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from 120,400 - 216,600 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
