Texas Process Equipment is a distributor of pumps, filtration solutions, blowers, and process equipment for the industrial market in Texas and Oklahoma.  TPE is part of the Texas division of Voigt-Abernathy who is also a distributor of pumps and equipment throughout AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TX, TN, & VA. The company offers value-added engineering and aftermarket services to optimize equipment selection for the lowest cost of ownership. We represent some of the top equipment brands in industry, plus we are an established vendor with the most industrial customers in the geography we cover.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Engineer located in or close to Oklahoma City or Tulsa, OK.  The territory will cover all of Oklahoma, and parts of West/Northwest Texas. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, communication, sales, and customer service related to pumps, filtration, and process equipment. Day-to-day tasks include assisting customers with equipment selection, providing technical recommendations, and offering after-market services. Texas Process Equipment Sales Engineers work out of their residences, making sales calls and customer visits approximately 4 days per week. Visits are made with established customers, and potential new customers in efforts to increase sales and market penetration.

Texas Process Equipment Sales Engineers are required to:

  • Learn the features and benefits of our product lines.
  • Set up their own appointments.
  • Make technical presentations to individual customers or small groups.
  • Organize and email customer inquiries to our service centers for quoting.
  • Close orders.
  • Travel as required, with overnight stays generally limited to 3-4 nights per month on average.
  • Work at the direction of company management as directed.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in industrial equipment sales is a plus
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field a plus
