Teaching Assistant | AI Engineering & Generative AI | Part - Time

Masai School, in academic collaboration with a premier institute, is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant – AI Engineering & Generative AI to support learners enrolled in an online AI program.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with learners to help them understand AI Engineering and Generative AI concepts, solve technical doubts, debug code, and build practical AI applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Doubt Resolution

• Conduct weekly doubt-solving and tutorial sessions.

• Help learners understand AI Engineering, Generative AI, LLMs, and Python concepts.

• Simplify complex technical concepts using practical examples.

• Support learners with coding challenges, assignments, and AI projects.

• Help learners troubleshoot and debug their implementations.

Technical & AI Support

• Guide learners in building LLM-powered applications, chatbots, RAG systems, and AI agents.

• Support learners with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, APIs, and model integration.

• Help learners understand AI model selection, evaluation, and optimization.

• Guide learners on integrating AI models into applications using Python and APIs.

• Help learners understand basic deployment and production considerations.

Project & Industry Support

• Help learners build practical AI/GenAI projects and portfolios.

• Review learner code, projects, notebooks, and GitHub repositories.

• Provide actionable technical feedback to improve project quality.

• Share real-world AI Engineering and GenAI use cases.

• Guide learners on industry-standard tools, frameworks, and development practices.

• Help learners understand concepts such as RAG, AI agents, LLM evaluation, and AI application architecture.

Learner Engagement

• Provide regular feedback and technical guidance to learners.

• Encourage learners to actively participate in sessions and discussions.

• Track learner progress and highlight technical challenges to the academic team.

• Support learners in completing projects and overcoming technical blockers.

• Contribute feedback to improve the learning experience and course delivery.

Candidate Requirements Must Have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, AI Engineering, or Generative AI.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Practical experience building AI/ML or GenAI applications.

• Good understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and APIs.

• Hands-on experience with tools/frameworks such as OpenAI, Gemini, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of RAG, vector databases, and AI application workflows.

• Experience with Git and development environments such as Jupyter.

• Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, training, or technical support.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Good to Have

• Experience building AI Agents / Agentic AI applications.

• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, APIs, and deployment workflows.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.

• Experience with NLP, Computer Vision, or multimodal AI.

• Experience reviewing AI/GenAI projects or GitHub portfolios.

• Experience mentoring students, developers, or early-career professionals.
