Industry Mentor – AI/ML | Tamil | Part-Time

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Industry Mentor to coach and upskill learners in Tamil. This role combines technical mentoring, project reviews, and interview preparation for learners building practical, industry-ready ML solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on AI/ML industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and guide learners effectively.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct live mentoring sessions and technical office hours in Tamil, covering core AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Review learners' code, notebooks, and capstone projects and provide actionable technical feedback.

• Guide learners on model selection, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Conduct technical assessments, mock interviews, and project reviews to prepare learners for industry opportunities.

• Help learners understand real-world AI/ML engineering practices and production considerations.

• Collaborate with curriculum and product teams to improve course content and practical assignments.

• Track learner progress and maintain mentorship records.

• Identify learner challenges and work with the relevant teams to resolve blockers.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Hands-on experience with Python for AI/ML workflows.

• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Strong understanding of Scikit-learn and ML model evaluation.

• Practical experience with AI/ML projects and deployment.

• Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, training, or technical coaching.

• Strong Tamil communication skills — verbal and written.

• Ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts in a simple and practical manner.

Preferred

• Familiarity with MLOps and Docker-based workflows.

• Experience working on NLP or Computer Vision projects.

• Experience conducting technical interviews.

• Experience reviewing ML resumes, projects, or portfolios.

• Industry experience in building and deploying production-level ML solutions.
