Industry Mentor – AI/ML | Odia | Part-Time

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Industry Mentor to coach and upskill learners in Odia. This role combines technical mentoring, project reviews, and interview preparation for learners building practical, industry-ready Machine Learning solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on AI/ML industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and guide learners effectively.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct live mentoring sessions and technical office hours in Odia, covering core AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Review learners' code, notebooks, and capstone projects and provide actionable technical feedback.

• Guide learners on data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Help learners debug Python and machine learning code and resolve technical challenges.

• Conduct technical assessments, mock interviews, and project reviews to prepare learners for AI/ML industry opportunities.

• Help learners understand real-world AI/ML engineering practices and production considerations.

• Share practical industry use cases and best practices in AI/ML.

• Collaborate with curriculum and product teams to improve course content and practical assignments.

• Track learner progress and identify challenges that require additional support.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Strong understanding of Scikit-learn and ML model evaluation.

• Good understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, supervised and unsupervised learning, and model evaluation.

• Practical experience working on AI/ML projects and deployment.

• Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, training, or technical coaching.

• Strong Odia communication skills — verbal and written.

• Ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts in a simple and practical manner.

Preferred

• Familiarity with MLOps and Docker-based workflows.

• Experience working on NLP or Computer Vision projects.

• Experience conducting technical interviews.

• Experience reviewing ML resumes, projects, or portfolios.

• Experience with cloud platforms and ML deployment.

• Industry experience building and deploying production-level ML solutions.
