LR Driver / Van Driver – Express Parcels | Gracemere

About the Role

Team Global Express is seeking a reliable and safety-focused LR Driver / Van Driver to join our Express Parcels team in Gracemere.

This is a hands-on role combining depot activities with multi-drop pick-up and delivery (PUD) across the local area. You will operate a small truck or delivery van and handle a varied freight profile, ranging from 1kg satchels through to flat-pack furniture.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with unloading freight from trailers onto the conveyor belt.
• Sort freight along the conveyor into designated delivery runs.
• Sort and load freight for your own delivery run.
• Complete multi-drop parcel pick-ups and deliveries.
• Use a TDA/scanning device to manage deliveries and freight movements.
• Safely handle a variety of freight, from small satchels to larger items such as flat-pack furniture.
• Use provided delivery aids, including trolleys and two-person delivery support where required.
• Complete vehicle checks and follow all safety and operational procedures.
• Provide professional and friendly service to customers.

What You’ll Bring

• A current Australian Car / LR Driver Licence or higher.
• Previous delivery, courier, PUD or multi-drop driving experience is highly regarded.
• Confidence driving a small truck or delivery van.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling as part of the role.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use handheld scanning/delivery technology.
• A strong commitment to safety and safe driving practices.
• Reliability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced parcel environment.
