Job description

We are a global digital agency comprised of strategists, creatives, media experts, data scientists, and engineers driven by one common purpose — accelerate business growth through marketing and digital transformation. Named a top 3% Google Premier Partner and recognized by Inc. 5000 and Adweek’s 75 Fastest Growing Companies, we’re constantly looking for “A” players to join our team.

The rapid growth is attributed to our strongest asset — our people. Our teams are highly collaborative and work closely with each client to set clear goals and objectives so that we can deliver exceptional results. Mindgruve is a place where every opinion is valued. Not only will you be empowered to contribute ideas, but you will also play a key role in the execution and driving success for brands across a variety of industries. Sound fun? Perfect — you’ll fit right in.

Mindgruve is looking for a VP, Digital Experience to lead the strategy, development, and growth of digital experiences that turn customer engagement into measurable business results.

This is a senior, client-facing leadership role for someone who understands that a website, app, commerce platform, or digital product is more than a destination. It is a critical part of the customer journey and a key driver of acquisition, conversion, loyalty, and revenue.

The VP, Digital Experience will work across strategy, experience design, technology, commerce, content, media, and data to help clients build and continually improve the digital platforms their customers use every day. You will bring together customer needs, business objectives, technology, and performance data to create experiences that are intuitive for customers and accountable to the business.

What You'll Do Here:

Digital Experience Strategy

  • Lead digital experience strategy for websites, ecommerce platforms, applications, digital products, and connected customer experiences.
  • Translate client business objectives, customer needs, behavioral data, and market opportunities into clear digital strategies and roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities across the customer journey to improve acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Advise senior client stakeholders on digital experience transformation, platform strategy, customer journeys, and investment priorities.

Customer Experience & Journey Optimization

  • Develop connected customer experiences across paid, owned, commerce, and digital channels.
  • Map and optimize customer journeys from discovery and consideration through conversion, service, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Use behavioral data, customer insights, experimentation, and performance analytics to continually identify friction and improve the experience.
  • Ensure digital experiences connect seamlessly with the broader media, social, commerce, CRM, and customer acquisition ecosystem.

Digital Product & Platform Leadership

  • Guide the strategy and evolution of websites, applications, ecommerce platforms, customer portals, and other digital products.
  • Partner with UX, design, engineering, commerce, content, and data teams to translate strategy into high-performing digital experiences.
  • Lead platform assessments, digital roadmaps, experience modernization initiatives, and major redesign or replatforming programs.
  • Help clients make smart decisions around platforms, technology investments, integrations, and the digital capabilities required to support future growth.

Conversion & Experience Optimization

  • Build a performance mindset into every digital experience.
  • Lead strategies around conversion rate optimization, personalization, experimentation, landing-page optimization, merchandising, user flows, and digital product performance.
  • Connect experience decisions to measurable outcomes including conversion, revenue, customer acquisition efficiency, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Establish testing and optimization programs that move digital experiences from periodic redesigns toward continuous improvement.

Connected Growth

  • Work closely with Mindgruve's Media, Social, Commerce, Creative, and Data Science teams to connect customer acquisition with the experiences that ultimately convert and retain customers.
  • Ensure the promise made through advertising and marketing carries through to the digital experience.
  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to uncover customer behavior, identify growth opportunities, measure experience performance, and inform optimization.
  • Help clients create a connected system where media generates demand, digital experiences convert it, and data continually improves what happens next.

Client & Practice Leadership

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to CMOs, CDOs, CTOs, ecommerce leaders, digital leaders, and other executive stakeholders.
  • Lead executive-level presentations, workshops, digital experience assessments, and strategic planning engagements.
  • Help shape and grow Mindgruve's Digital Experience practice, including capabilities, methodologies, partnerships, talent, and go-to-market offerings.
  • Partner with business development and client leadership teams to identify and develop new Digital Experience opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a high standard for strategy, creativity, technology, and execution.

We Need a Person With:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Entrepreneurialism, Business, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience across digital experience, digital product, customer experience, ecommerce, digital strategy, or related disciplines, with significant leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading major digital experience initiatives for enterprise and consumer brands.
  • Experience within a leading digital agency, integrated agency, consultancy, experience design firm, or similar environment.
  • Deep understanding of modern websites, ecommerce, digital products, applications, customer journeys, and experience platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of UX/CX strategy, conversion optimization, experimentation, personalization, analytics, and digital performance.
  • Ability to connect experience strategy to customer acquisition, commerce, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Working knowledge of modern CMS, commerce, CRM, CDP, analytics, personalization, and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Experience leading complex multidisciplinary engagements spanning strategy, UX, creative, content, technology, data, and optimization.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to identify, scope, sell, and expand significant digital experience engagements.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.
  • A builder's mentality with the ability to create new capabilities, develop teams, establish processes, and help grow a modern Digital Experience practice.
