Summary:

In this role, you will serve as the strategic driver of revenue and growth for Vizient's Spend Management business, specifically dedicated to three areas: Clinical, Non-Clinical and P2P/Integrated SC Services using deep subject matter expertise to shape solutions. You will will collaborate across internal teams to identify opportunities to expand penetration, design comprehensive engagement strategies and guide complex deal development.

Responsibilities: 

Strategic Growth and Solution Leadership

  • Drive strategic growth by identifying penetration opportunities and shaping high-value spend management solutions for complex members.

  • Serve as the spend management subject matter expert guiding solution design, category strategy alignment, and comprehensive engagement planning.

  • Assess clinical value, operational and strategic challenges to craft data-driven recommendations that advance measurable value.

  • Lead proactive management of deal risks, pricing strategy, and solution viability to protect profitability and margin performance.

Executive Partnership, Collaboration and Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong and trusted advisor relationships with Spend Executives, Engagement Leads, and Enterprise Principals to advance Spend management adoption and deepen client engagement.

  • Partner across Vizient account teams, category SMEs, and consulting leaders to align resources and ensure cohesive delivery of Spend management strategies.

  • Lead identification and execution of upsell and cross-sell opportunities that expand Spend management footprint and strengthen enterprise partnerships.

Performance Monitoring, Forecasting and Revenue Optimization

  • Analyze bookings, revenue trends, and performance metrics to inform business decisions and accurately forecast expected outcomes.

  • Monitor spent management pipeline performance, ensuring timely progression, opportunity, quality, and alignment to organizational goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement of sales processes in CRM staging to eliminate roadblocks and accelerate deal closure.

  • Maintain accountability for achieving growth, profitability, and sales targets through discipline, execution, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, consulting, or technology-enabled services required.

  • Proven success creating integrated, multi-component solutions that combine services, analytics, and technology to drive measurable outcomes.

  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare spend management with non-labor expense reduction and/or service line expertise.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem (ex: providers, payers, and supply chain operations).

  • Experienced in leading the business development components of client engagements  with health system executives and clinicians, with a strong consultative and strategic mindset.

  • Skilled in solution architecture, business case development, and ROI storytelling to influence C-suite and senior stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills; thrives in team-oriented, matrixed environments.

  • Candidates living in the mid-Atlantic region of the US are preferred.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
