We are seeking a Sr. Product Costing Analyst to partner with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to support new product introductions, product costing, manufacturing performance, and profitability improvement initiatives.

This role extends beyond traditional finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial and analytical acumen with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations to evaluate product economics, identify cost improvement opportunities, challenge assumptions, and influence strategic decision-making across the organization.

Candidates with semiconductor manufacturing experience are strongly preferred, especially those who have partnered closely with engineering and operations teams to improve yields, productivity, product costs, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Costing & Financial Analysis

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve product cost models and standard costing methodologies.

  • Lead standard cost development, updates, reviews, and variance analysis activities.

  • Analyze material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing process costs to identify opportunities for improved cost accuracy and profitability.

  • Evaluate product-level profitability and provide insights on margin performance, cost drivers, and business risks.

  • Support pricing, product portfolio, and profitability decisions through comprehensive financial analysis.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Support

  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to evaluate new product opportunities.

  • Develop business cases, cost estimates, ROI analyses, and investment justifications for new products and manufacturing initiatives.

  • Support stage-gate and phase-gate reviews throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Assess cost, capacity, yield, and operational impacts associated with new product introductions.

Manufacturing Operations Partnership

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to understand production processes, routings, yields, cycle times, labor requirements, and capacity constraints.

  • Analyze manufacturing performance metrics including utilization, throughput, labor efficiency, cycle time, scrap, and yield performance.

  • Support routing reviews, router maintenance, process changes, and cost-impact assessments.

  • Translate operational performance into financial impacts and actionable recommendations.

Cost Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

  • Drive cross-functional cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

  • Identify, quantify, prioritize, and track operational cost-saving opportunities.

  • Evaluate capital investments, automation projects, process improvements, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.

  • Provide financial leadership and analytical support for strategic business decisions and operational improvement programs.

Business Partnership & Leadership

  • Present financial and operational insights to management and executive stakeholders.

  • Influence decision-making by leveraging data-driven analysis and business acumen.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance leaders.

  • Lead complex analyses and projects with significant visibility and impact across the organization.

  • Promote financial discipline, operational accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the business.

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Product costing experience in the semiconductor industry strongly preferred.

  • Semiconductor test, probe card manufacturing, wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, MEMS, or related semiconductor manufacturing experience highly desirable.

  • Experience with stage-gate product development processes.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing routing development and maintenance.

  • ERP, business intelligence, Power BI, SQL, Oracle, or related analytics experience.
