Role Summary

Amplify is at a pivotal inflection point. As we continue to scale, we are fundamentally re-imagining how we operate, execute, and deliver value across every corner of the business.

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Operations & Enterprise Transformation to serve as the critical lynchpin in building Amplify’s next-generation internal operating system. Reporting directly to the President & COO, you will act as a primary operating partner and strategic catalyst driving our enterprise-wide transformation strategy, aligning business unit leadership around long-term goals, and engineering the playbooks that translate high-level vision into disciplined, measurable execution.

This is not a traditional governance role. You will be an active architect, trusted partner, and hands-on quarterback responsible for aligning senior leaders unblocking business units, and leveraging modern technologies—including AI and process automation—to ensure Amplify moves faster, smarter, and with complete operational cohesion.

Core Responsibilities

Enterprise Strategy & Transformation

  • Define & Scale the Next-Gen Operating Model: Partner with the COO to operationalize Amplify's cross-functional transformation vision. Re-imagine and re-engineer core processes and workstreams by embedding advanced capabilities and automation directly into workflows.

  • Portfolio & ROI Acceleration: Consolidate isolated, function-level experimentation and initiatives into a unified enterprise framework. Establish a rigorous evidence based framework that determines which transformation priorities scale across the company and which stop.

  • Capability Integration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and functional leaders to track capability build-outs, ensure seamless technology integration, and keep critical transformation milestones on schedule while the core business runs at full speed.

Enterprise Architecture & Process Optimization

  • Process Re-engineering: Support the introduction of the Global Process Ownership framework supporting senior leaders to define, modernize, and continually improve global end-to-end value streams, including Idea to Launch, Quote to Cash, Plan to Deliver, and Source to Pay.

  • Cross-Functional Friction Neutralizer: Serve as the objective leader who convenes executive stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Technology, CX, and Supply Chain to diagnose bottlenecks, resolve handoff friction, and establish clear decision rights and process ownership.

  • System Modernization: Support the transition of our business systems function into an agile, CIO-driven operating model. Hold process owners accountable for achieving tangible ROI on automation and technology investments.

High-Stakes Initiative Incubation & Execution

  • At-Ready Strategic Quarterback: Step in to lead, design, and launch urgent, highly complex enterprise initiatives and organizational change efforts. Build the initial operating model, achieve steady-state execution, hand it off to a permanent operational owner, and pivot to the next bottleneck.

  • COO Force Multiplier: Act as the COO’s strategic "eyes and ears" across top-priority initiatives. Manage critical dependencies, resolve cross-departmental friction without functional bias, and ensure executive commitments are rigorously executed.

Executive Strategy, Alignment & Business Intelligence

  • Enterprise Goal Alignment: Support the COO and senior operating leaders with the establishment of multi-year and annual enterprise goals and the cascade of these goals down to functional business units to ensure total alignment across the business.

  • ELT Cadence & Governance: Support the COO in optimizing senior leadership operations. Design high-leverage "Run the Business" agenda topics, enforce rigorous pre-read standards, and hold leadership accountable to decision follow-throughs.

  • Single Source of Truth: Build and maintain the Monthly Business Review (MBR) framework and Executive Leadership Team "Operating Book". Synthesize routine operational metrics and initiative tracking into actionable business intelligence, enabling executive leaders to spot cross-functional risks early and drive proactive mitigation.

What You Bring

  • Transformation Leadership: Significant experience in Strategy, Business Operations, or Management Consulting with executive-level exposure, including a proven track record leading enterprise-wide transformation programs across multi-functional organizations.

  • Modern Process Redesign: Demonstrated expertise in process re-engineering—specifically applying modern technologies, AI, and automation to drive measurable efficiency, productivity, and ROI gains.

  • Track Record of Execution: Proven history of owning and driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion—actively building and delivering outcomes rather than simply tracking project milestones.

  • Builder Mindset: Comfortable operating without a playbook, creating structure out of ambiguity, and constructively holding executive peers accountable.

  • Executive Presence & Synthesis: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous information into clear, persuasive narratives for senior leadership.

  • Location & Travel: Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with regular in-person presence in our New York City office, along with occasional travel as required.

  • Education & Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience preferred; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
