Job description

About Comet

Comet is building the development platform for teams who want to ship robust, reliable, and responsible AI applications. Opik, our open source LLM evaluation framework, has quickly become one of the most popular tools in the space. Our experiment management platform is used by data scientists at companies like Uber, Netflix, and Etsy. Tens of thousands of researchers, engineers, academics, and hobbyists use Comet every day to build the future of AI.

Working at Comet will give you access to the most exciting work being done in all areas of machine learning. Some of the top researchers and companies working on self-driving cars, drug discovery, particle research, diffusion models, and LLMs use Comet every day. Your work has the potential to accelerate the development of some of the most impactful technology in the world, and you will be doing it alongside a team of passionate, caring individuals. If that sounds exciting, Comet is the right place for you.

Comet is backed by more than $63 million in venture capital funding and powers some of the best machine-learning teams in the world, including Netflix, Uber, Etsy, and Mobileye. We are a remote-first company with offices in New York City (USA) and Tel Aviv (Israel).

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve as the primary technical and strategic partner for our customers post-sale. This is a hybrid role, blending the technical depth of a TAM with the relationship ownership of a Customer Success Manager: you will onboard and enable new customers, provide hands-on AI/ML expertise (including on agentic AI systems), and act as a trusted advisor and extension of the customer's own team throughout their lifecycle with Comet. In addition to driving adoption and resolving technical challenges, you will identify and support expansion opportunities and help ensure customers renew while working with the Sales/ Account team.

As a TAM (fully remote in North America), you will own a portfolio of assigned accounts end-to-end, from onboarding through steady-state usage to growth, working closely with a broad set of customer stakeholders to demonstrate the value delivered through Comet's software and services while building durable, trusted relationships. You will also serve as the internal voice of the customer, advocating on their behalf and collaborating with Customer Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Product to drive alignment and continuous improvement.

Beyond customer engagement, you will contribute to key initiatives, processes, tools, and programs that scale Comet's impact as we grow. This role reports directly to the Head of Customer Success and is measured by key metrics, including customer satisfaction, product adoption, retention, and expansion revenue.

Join us in shaping the future of AI by helping organizations build, deploy, and scale transformative models with confidence.

Who you are:

  • Customer Success Manager, Customer Success Engineer, TAM, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect in the AI/ML space, with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Data Science consultant for a top consulting firm.
  • Data Scientist, ML Engineer or Agentic AI/AI Engineer with other customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a portfolio of global accounts, including some of the world's leading organizations in financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and technology, as their primary point of contact post-sale.
  • Lead new customer onboarding and enablement, ensuring teams are set up for success on the Comet platform from day one.
  • Drive value for customers by helping them achieve their business and technical outcomes, becoming a trusted advisor and de facto extension of their team.
  • Gain a deep understanding of each customer's use cases and machine learning goals, including agentic AI and multi-agent systems, to ensure Comet is strategically aligned to their desired business outcomes.
  • Lead technical enablement sessions on how to use the Comet platform for an array of workflows and use cases, from training time series forecasting or computer vision models, to LLM fine-tuning, RAG application evaluation, and agentic AI development and evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions and issues from end users, helping with Python SDK integration, solutioning custom visualizations and integrations, and leading technical working sessions.
  • Use knowledge of ML/LLM/agentic frameworks and tools to create examples and help customers leverage our many integrations (ex: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Ray, OpenAI, Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, agent orchestration frameworks).
  • Leverage customer health analytics to proactively identify expansion opportunities and churn risks, and drive account growth in partnership with Sales.
  • Support the renewal process by ensuring customers are realizing ongoing value and are positioned for a successful renewal conversation, partnering closely with the Sales/Account team who own the renewal contract itself.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to provide customer and market feedback to help define product roadmap, including for agentic AI use cases.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with the LLM and agentic AI development process, and comfort with common LLM models, agent frameworks, and tools (ex: OpenAI, LangGraph, Bedrock, agent orchestration frameworks).
  • 3+ years of experience in the AI/ML domain in a customer-facing role (TAM, CSM, Solutions Engineering, or similar).
  • Quick problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities across a portfolio of accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for building customer relationships and providing outstanding customer experiences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; even better listening skills.
  • Basic experience working with the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of the current ML, MLOps, and agentic AI landscape (applications, tools, new research).
  • Deep and demonstrable knowledge of Python and ML frameworks (ex: Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, Hugging Face), with familiarity building or evaluating agentic AI applications a plus.
  • Ability to travel a couple of times per quarter.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary based on proven experience, skills, and location.
  • Competitive benefits package.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • A collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • The chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and projects.
  • This role will be fully remote in North America, working with a global team (large presence in the US, Tel Aviv, and Europe).
  • Some flexibility with work hours is required.
