Job description

SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Sales & Business Development is responsible for leading CarepathRx's sales organization and driving enterprise growth across specialty pharmacy, home infusion, telepharmacy, patient access, and health system pharmacy solutions. This leader establishes and executes comprehensive sales strategies that strengthen existing client relationships, expand market presence, and accelerate revenue growth across the CarepathRx portfolio.

Reporting to the President of CarepathRx, will serves as a key member of the leadership team and is accountable for developing and executing medium- and long-term growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives. The role leads a high-performing sales organization, cultivates executive-level relationships with health systems and strategic partners, and collaborates across operations, client success, product, implementation, and finance functions to deliver sustainable growth and exceptional client outcomes. Exercises broad leadership across multiple functional areas, influences enterprise strategy, and plays a critical role in shaping CarepathRx's position as a leading partner to hospitals and health systems seeking specialty pharmacy, infusion, and pharmacy services solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enterprise Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute the enterprise sales strategy for CarepathRx, aligning growth priorities with organizational objectives and market opportunities.

  • Establish annual and multi-year sales goals, revenue targets, pipeline objectives, and growth plans across all CarepathRx service lines.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization focused on consultative selling and long-term client partnership.

  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centricity throughout the sales function.

  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, customer trends, and emerging opportunities to proactively adjust growth strategies.

Business Development & Growth Strategy

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities with hospitals, health systems, provider organizations, and strategic partners.

  • Develop strategies to expand CarepathRx's footprint within existing client organizations and diversify revenue streams.

  • Lead complex sales pursuits, contract negotiations, executive presentations, and strategic business development efforts.

  • Partner with executive leadership to translate growth objectives into actionable commercial strategies and market expansion plans.

  • Support development of new service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and integrated solutions that address evolving client needs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Pharmacy Services, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Implementation teams to execute growth initiatives and deliver seamless client experiences.

  • Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and operational capabilities.

  • Partner with leadership teams to forecast demand, assess market opportunities, and prioritize investments that support growth objectives.

  • Influence enterprise decisions that improve scalability, client outcomes, and organizational performance.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Establish and monitor key sales, revenue, membership, and client growth metrics.

  • Utilize data and market insights to evaluate sales effectiveness, identify growth opportunities, and drive informed decision-making.

  • Provide regular performance updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Ensure consistent pipeline management, sales process effectiveness, and forecasting discipline across the organization.

Talent Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales and business development talent.

  • Build leadership capabilities throughout the organization.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, strategic thinking, and professional development.

  • Lead organizational planning and succession efforts within the sales function.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience.

  • 5+ years leading large, complex sales teams or commercial organizations.

  • Experience working with hospitals, health systems, specialty pharmacy, infusion, ambulatory pharmacy, or pharmacy services organizations preferred.

  • Experience leading enterprise sales strategies across multiple products or service lines preferred

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth.

  • Experience building and managing executive-level customer relationships.

  • Strong track record of leading complex sales cycles and strategic negotiations.

  • Experience operating within healthcare services, health systems, specialty pharmacy, infusion services, healthcare technology, or related healthcare sectors.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executive stakeholders


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 197,300 - 328,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
