Job description

Description

Core Clinical Partners stands at the forefront of Emergency and Hospital Medicine, delivering unparalleled services through a model that emphasizes patient-centric care and operational excellence. Our corporate values – Genuine, Accountable, Dynamic, Respectful, and Fun – are the pillars that uphold our commitment to revolutionize healthcare delivery.

The Clinical Data Integrity & Performance Analyst provides advanced analytical support for clinical, operational, and performance data across the organization, translating complex data into meaningful insights that inform operational strategy, quality improvement, and leadership decision-making.

Working closely with hospital partners, Operations, Information Technology (IT), and Coding/Billing teams, this role evaluates data integrity, interprets performance trends, identifies root causes of reporting variances, and recommends solutions that improve data reliability, reporting effectiveness, and operational visibility. The analyst serves as a subject matter resource for hospital data, metric definitions, validation methodology, and dashboard interpretation used by operational leaders.

This position exercises professional judgment in evaluating ambiguous data issues, prioritizing reporting needs, advising stakeholders, and determining practical recommendations that support operational performance, data governance, and strategic decision support.

Essential Duties:

Data Integrity & Validation

  • Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical and operational performance data and determine appropriate validation approaches based on data source, business need, and reporting risk.
  • Investigate complex data discrepancies, missing information, and unexpected performance trends; assess potential operational impact and recommend corrective actions.
  • Interpret reported metrics against source data and established reporting standards; identify deviations, determine likely drivers, and recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine metric definitions, data dictionaries, validation processes, and documentation standards to support consistent enterprise reporting.
  • Lead recurring audits and quality assurance reviews related to reporting and analytics; summarize findings and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Hospital Data Management

  • Manage the collection, interpretation, and ongoing maintenance of operational and clinical data from hospital partners, including assessment of source-system limitations and reporting readiness.
  • Serve as a consultative point of contact for hospital stakeholders regarding data requests, reporting questions, metric definitions, and interpretation of performance results.
  • Engage hospital operational, quality, and analytics teams to evaluate data sources, reporting methodologies, business requirements, and opportunities to improve data flow and reporting consistency.
  • Reconcile hospital-supplied data with internal reporting, determine drivers of variance, and recommend process or methodology improvements to enhance data quality and consistency.
  • Guide data readiness activities for new hospital partnerships by evaluating available data sources, reporting capabilities, data gaps, and recommended integration or validation steps.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Assess recurring reports and dashboards for accuracy, consistency, usability, and alignment with operational priorities.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, outliers, risk areas, and improvement opportunities; synthesize findings into actionable insights for operational leaders.
  • Advise operational leaders on performance results, key drivers, data limitations, and recommended actions based on analytical findings.
  • Develop clinical ad hoc analyses and reporting deliverables that require interpretation of business questions, selection of appropriate data sources, and communication of conclusions.
  • Own documentation related to reporting processes, methodologies, assumptions, and metric logic to support transparency and repeatable reporting practices.
  • Dashboard & Data Presentation
  • Partner with Clinical Optimization and reporting teams to assess dashboard design, define user needs, recommend enhancements, and support adoption of performance reporting tools.
  • Recommend effective data presentation strategies based on audience needs, operational context, data complexity, and intended business outcome.
  • Design and enhance scorecards, dashboards, and reports that clearly communicate performance trends, opportunities, risks, and recommended focus areas.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Clinical Optimization, Operations, and IT teams to evaluate reporting and data quality issues, determine appropriate resolution paths, and influence process improvements.
  • Coordinate testing and implementation of reporting enhancements and new data sources, including validation criteria, stakeholder review, and readiness recommendations.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, accessibility, and decision support across clinical and operational teams.
  • Represent operational reporting needs in cross-functional discussions by clarifying requirements, evaluating solution options, and communicating business implications to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Understanding of hospital and physician practice operations.
  • Knowledge of healthcare performance metrics and reporting concepts.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and business judgment with the ability to evaluate ambiguous issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, assess competing needs, and drive work forward with sound judgment, urgency, and minimal day-to-day direction.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when interpreting incomplete, conflicting, or complex information and determining recommended next steps.
  • Exhibit growth mindset and team-oriented behaviors.
