About the Role

ETTLIN Smart Textiles Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the continued growth of Transpatec®, its premium insect screen fabric, in the U.S. market. Learn more about ETTLIN Smart Textiles at: https://ettlintextiles.com/

This opportunity is well suited for a commercially driven professional with experience in insect screening, screen systems, fenestration, shading/sun protection, or a closely related segment of the window and door industry who understands the market, enjoys developing new customer relationships, and is comfortable building business across a nationwide territory.

ETTLIN established its U.S. subsidiary earlier this year and has already developed initial customer relationships and a growing pipeline of market opportunities. CRM and sales processes, U.S.-based support, product samples, and logistics resources are in place to support customer development across the market. The Business Development Manager will now take ownership of the next phase of U.S. market development, with a focus on expanding the customer and partner base and converting market opportunities into sustainable, recurring business.

As ETTLIN's first dedicated U.S. business development professional, this position will report directly to the COO and offers a high degree of visibility, ownership, and direct access to the company's leadership team. As the U.S. business grows, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on broader commercial responsibilities and play an increasingly important role in shaping ETTLIN's U.S. organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities for Transpatec® across the U.S. market
  • Identify and develop relationships with insect screen system providers, screen fabricators, fenestration distributors, franchise and multi-location screen installation networks, and other strategic channel partners
  • Build relationships with companies that have established access to professional installers, dealers, and end customers within the residential fenestration and screening market
  • Develop selected opportunities with window and door manufacturers, screen frame manufacturers, and fenestration component suppliers
  • Guide prospective customers from initial product introduction and sampling through commercial orders and recurring business
  • Represent ETTLIN at customer meetings, relevant industry trade shows, and market events
  • Monitor developments within the U.S. insect screen and fenestration market, including competitor activity, channel structures, customer requirements, and emerging applications

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant B2B sales or business development experience within insect screening, screen systems, fenestration, window and door products, shading/sun protection, or a closely related market
  • Familiarity with the U.S. fenestration and screening industry and its distribution channels
  • Existing relationships with system providers, fabricators, distributors, installation organizations, manufacturers, dealers, or other relevant industry contacts are strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop new customers and grow business rather than exclusively manage an established account base
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage credibly with business owners, commercial leaders, purchasing teams, and other customer stakeholders
  • A self-directed and entrepreneurial working style, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with an international team
  • Commercial judgment and the ability to communicate the value of a differentiated technical product
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Comfort using CRM systems; HubSpot experience is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the United States
  • German language skills are a plus, but not required
