About the Role

HavocAI is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a key leader within the finance organization and strategic partner to the CFO and executive team.

The VP of Finance will own financial planning and performance management, help shape the company’s financial strategy, lead critical strategic initiatives, and play a significant role in investor relations. This role will be responsible for ensuring HavocAI has the financial visibility, discipline, systems, and processes required to support continued growth.

You will operate at both the strategic and execution levels—developing long-range financial plans and capital strategies while ensuring the organization delivers accurate forecasts, actionable reporting, strong operating plans, and disciplined financial decision-making.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who combines exceptional financial and analytical capabilities with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach. You should be comfortable creating structure in ambiguity, moving quickly when priorities change, and building a high-performing finance organization as HavocAI scales.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning & Strategy
  • Own HavocAI’s financial planning processes, including annual and quarterly budgeting, long-range planning, cash flow forecasting, and monthly performance reporting.

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support company objectives, including cash management, liquidity, capital allocation, and investment decisions.

  • Drive financial discipline, visibility, and fact-based decision-making across the organization.

  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, commercial opportunities, and other major business decisions.

  • Develop sophisticated financial models, forecasts, scenarios, and analyses to support company strategy.

  • Identify key financial and operational risks and opportunities and proactively develop recommendations for leadership.

Financial Performance & Business Partnership
  • Establish clear reporting around financial performance, operating metrics, and organizational KPIs.

  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, including analysis of actual results against plan and identification of key drivers and variances.

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.

  • Partner with leaders across the company to establish financial targets, evaluate performance, and improve accountability.

  • Drive dialogue across key stakeholders to establish and continuously evolve company-wide KPIs.

Investor Relations & Capital Strategy
  • Serve as a key partner to the CFO on investor relations, with the ability to take increasing ownership of the function.

  • Develop financial analyses, reporting, presentations, and other materials supporting investor communications.

  • Anticipate investor questions regarding financial performance, forecasts, business drivers, and company strategy.

  • Support financing and capital planning activities as the company grows.

  • Manage and develop relationships with external financial partners, including lenders.

Finance Systems & Scalability
  • Lead the continued development of scalable finance systems, processes, reporting, and operating rhythms.

  • Drive finance transformation initiatives that improve speed, accuracy, visibility, and decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI within financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and internal workflows.

  • Partner closely with Accounting and other finance functions to ensure strong connectivity between financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and business decision-making.

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Finance team while planning for the continued growth of the function.

  • Build scalable organizational structures, processes, and operating practices as HavocAI grows.

  • Hire, develop, coach, and retain high-performing finance talent.

  • Establish clear expectations and accountability while creating an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Foster a culture of high performance, ownership, accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned with HavocAI’s values.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience, including 5+ years of people leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated success leading finance within a high-growth technology or similarly complex organization.

  • Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial modeling.

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to underlying operational drivers.

  • Exceptional ability to translate complex financial information into compelling, executive-level insights and recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience building and developing high-performing finance teams.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders across an organization.

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, incomplete information, and significant organizational growth.

  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership style with the willingness to move between strategic initiatives and detailed execution.

Nice to Have

  • Finance leadership experience within a high-growth startup or technology company.

  • Experience supporting hardware or manufacturing businesses.

  • Experience with inventory management, cost accounting, or supply-chain-related finance.

  • Experience supporting SaaS or software business models.

  • Experience leading or supporting investor relations and capital-raising activities.

  • Experience implementing or scaling FP&A and financial reporting systems.

  • Experience introducing automation or AI into finance workflows.

What Success Looks Like

You become a trusted strategic partner to the CFO, executive team, and leaders across HavocAI, providing the financial insight and discipline required to make better and faster decisions.

You establish scalable planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance-management processes; strengthen financial visibility throughout the company; and build a Finance team capable of supporting HavocAI as it continues to grow.

You bring structure to ambiguity without creating unnecessary bureaucracy—maintaining the hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mentality called for in the original role while raising the quality and sophistication of the finance function.
