The ideal candidate is early in their mobile development career but has already demonstrated sound programming fundamentals and hands-on experience with React Native. This individual will be comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, building and maintaining features across both iOS and Android from a shared codebase, and willing to pivot between front-end, integration, and debugging work based on team priorities and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android under the guidance of more senior mobile engineers.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs.
• Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform-specific quirks between iOS and Android.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
• Write and maintain basic unit and integration tests to help ensure application stability.
• Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence during meetings when expected.

Qualifications

• Some prior technical experience in mobile development, software development, or a related technical area
  OR a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field from an accredited higher education institution.
• Working knowledge of React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React fundamentals such as components, state, props, and hooks.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles and an interest in building skills across both iOS and Android.
• Experience using Git for version control and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Health IT experience (a plus)

Environment, Physical & Other Requirements

This position requires interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting. In order to best service our customers on the phone, face-to-face, or on the computer, all employees must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation. Depending on the assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds. We offer a salary range of $75,000–$100,000 USD per year, with compensation tailored to your background, strengths, and growth potential.
