As a leader in our industry, we have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Battery Storage Operations Supervisor to oversee the operations and maintenance of our cutting-edge battery storage systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and optimal performance of our energy storage assets.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage on site day-to-day operations of battery storage facilities, including monitoring system performance and coordinating maintenance activities and contractors;
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize system uptime and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with asset management, engineering, and project teams to optimize battery storage design and integration with renewable energy sources;
  • Ensure compliance with safety, commercial obligations, environmental, and regulatory requirements;
  • Oversee the training and development of operations staff, ensuring a high level of competency and adherence to operational procedures;
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings;
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance and key metrics;
  • Other duties as required or assigned. 

Key Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of proven experience in battery storage operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role;
  • Strong technical knowledge of battery storage systems, inverters, and associated power generation equipment;
  • Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments;
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the energy sector;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. 

Compensation and Location: 

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;
Benefits: Aypa offers an attractive benefits package with excellent health care/dental/vision, 401k matching, unlimited vacation, paid parental leave, and other health/wellness benefits;
Location: On site (Los Angeles, CA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in the Los Angeles, CA area, or willing to relocate;
Travel: 25%.
