About the Role:

Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Scrum Master to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) TRIDENT program. The Scrum Master will serve as the Agile team facilitator responsible for enabling successful delivery of an enterprise cloud-native, micro frontend, and microservices web application solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions.
  • Partner with the Product Owner, Project Manager, and Technical Leads to ensure sprint goals, priorities, and deliverables are clearly defined.
  • Maintain and monitor team Jira boards, sprint metrics, burndown charts, workflow statuses, and reporting dashboards.
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact team productivity and delivery timelines.
  • Support sprint forecasting, capacity planning, dependency management, and release planning.
  • Promote Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve delivery risks.
  • Track and communicate sprint progress, risks, issues, and accomplishments to program leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Support requirements traceability, sprint reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Agile Practitioner, Product Owner, or related Agile leadership role.
  • Experience supporting Agile software development teams utilizing Scrum or hybrid Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile project management tools.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile best practices.
  • Experience managing sprint planning, backlog refinement, capacity planning, and release planning activities.
  • Experience tracking Agile metrics including velocity, burndown, cycle time, and sprint performance.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments.
  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with cloud-native applications, microservices, microfrontend architectures, or web application solutions.
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD delivery models.
  • Experience facilitating UAT, release planning, and stakeholder demonstrations.
  • PMP, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), or equivalent certification.

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Citizenship & Clearance Requirements:

  • Required: US Citizen w/ Public Trust or ability to achieve Public Trust Required 

Target Salary Range

Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual’s combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy’s total compensation package for employees.
