CTG Engineering team owns, develops and manages the solutions used by our engineers globally. These solutions help to run one of the largest compute systems in the world. We work closely with stakeholders to create innovative, powerful, scalable, highly reliable and secure systems at scale.

Work with cutting edge technology

You will gather requirements, design, implement, and maintain build and infrastructure tools used by development and test teams. You will follow industry best practices focusing on software security, reliability, and scalability.

As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Creating new features and building tools from conception through release to ensure customers have an exceptional experience.
• Designing and development of highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure.
• Developing software to enhance our engineering productivity by creating frontend and backend for our vulnerability management.
• Designing, maintaining, and scaling multi-platform build systems and optimizing build performance parallelism, and efficient dependency management across target architectures.
• Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives.
• Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features.
• Contributing ideas and knowledge to the process-improvement sessions team to facilitate continuous improvement of our products.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have +5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Display in-depth knowledge of Object Oriented programming like Python, Java, Go, C/C++.
• Demonstrate experience with multi-platform build generators (CMake, Bazel, Cargo, or Meson) and configuring C/C++ compilers (GCC/Clang).
• Have experience with toolchains, sysroots for multi-architecture compilation targets such as AArch64/ARMv8/ARMv9 architectures as well as traditional Intel and AMD architectures.
• Possess hands on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases and SQL.
• Have experience with any CI/CD tools (i.e. Cloudbees CI/Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab etc ).
• Have a good understanding of security, compliance & SLA.
