Job description

As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will partner with Sales and internal stakeholders as a strategic technical lead to drive complex enterprise outcomes across your territory. You will move beyond traditional pre-sales to take end-to-end accountability for technical wins, bridging business transformation with advanced data architectures, ecosystem integrations and practical AI applications.

You will uncover complex technical and business requirements through deep advisory discovery, guiding enterprise IT, architecture and business leaders on modernising workflows and data management to demonstrate the full value of the Workiva platform.

The solutions relevant to this role are bespoke to the Financial Services sector, specifically targeting Investments, Insurance and Banking. You will bring specific technical subject matter expertise to the Sales function, supporting both the business and functional aspects of the Workiva platform through technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations and value-based messaging. You will also develop example solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate the viability and value of Workiva's solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary technical lead for enterprise sales opportunities, with particular focus on integration, data management and the fit of the Workiva platform within complex customer technology ecosystems.

  • Partner closely with Regional Sales Directors and other customer-facing teams to understand customer challenges, requirements and desired business outcomes.

  • Lead solution discovery and value-based conversations across Workiva's core solutions, including Financial Reporting, GRC and Sustainability.

  • Facilitate and guide conversations with enterprise IT, architecture and business leaders around technology strategy, data management, integrations and modernisation.

  • Provide technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations and value-based messaging tailored to Financial Services customers.

  • Gather complex business and technical requirements and translate them into compelling, practical solutions using the Workiva platform.

  • Design customised solutions that address customer requirements and support the transformation and modernisation of finance and business processes.

  • Develop example solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate the viability, functionality and value of Workiva's solutions.

  • Work with Solution Consultants to create or adapt custom demonstration environments and solutions for customers and prospective customers.

  • Partner with Sales to build business cases and proposals that clearly articulate Workiva's value, business outcomes and ROI.

  • Support Sales with Territory and Pipeline Development by building hypothesis-driven engagement plans, inspecting qualification gates before committing evaluation resources and identifying high-value expansion opportunities across accounts.

  • Serve as the primary technical partner for strategic and complex enterprise opportunities.

  • Provide project and relationship management across larger customers with broader and more complex requirements.

  • Develop trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders across IT, architecture, finance and lines of business.

  • Work across the full spectrum of the customer's finance organisation to identify opportunities for transformation through innovative use of the Workiva platform.

  • Provide leadership and coordination across cross-functional Workiva resources throughout customer-facing initiatives.

  • Partner with selected Workiva business partners on joint customer initiatives to deliver against customer business objectives.

  • Work closely with Workiva partner and customer support teams to support smooth onboarding, adoption and long-term customer success.

  • Guide enterprise IT, architecture and line-of-business leaders on modernising data management through Workiva's platform, automated workflows, integrations and practical AI capabilities.

  • Mentor and train other team members, sharing technical, industry and domain expertise.

  • Maintain a strong commercial mindset, influencing customer decisions and contributing to overall sales strategy.
