Job Summary

We’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture and evolution of Kaseya’s RMM endpoint agent. This is a hands-on systems engineering role focused on Rust, C/C++, cross-platform development, networking, concurrency, and integration with distributed backend services. You will own critical platform capabilities, lead technical decisions across teams, and remain closely involved in implementation, troubleshooting, and production support.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of the RMM endpoint agent architecture across Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Design, build, and operate systems-level components using Rust and C/C++
  • Define interfaces and communication patterns between endpoint agents and distributed backend services
  • Build secure networking capabilities using technologies and protocols such as TLS, gRPC, and MQTT
  • Improve agent performance, concurrency, resource usage, reliability, and operational visibility
  • Own critical components from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical initiatives involving multiple engineers or teams
  • Mentor engineers and establish reusable patterns for cross-platform systems development

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including systems development using C, C++, or Rust
  • 2+ years of experience developing and operating production software using Rust
  • Experience building Windows systems software using Win32 APIs
  • Experience delivering cross-platform software across Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of concurrent, networked, or distributed systems involving multiple engineers or teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux systems development and POSIX APIs
  • Experience developing native software for macOS
  • Experience with AWS services or cloud-connected endpoint platforms
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, or similar supporting technologies
  • Experience developing RMM agents, endpoint management software, device-management platforms, or endpoint security products
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or codebase analysis
