Job Description

Join us as a strategic sales leader responsible for driving growth and adoption of Ameriprise Bank banking and cash solutions across an assigned territory. In this highly visible role, you will partner with advisors, field leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to expand awareness, deepen client engagement, and deliver business results. You will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted consultant, influencing sales outcomes through education, relationship management, and strategic planning. This role offers the opportunity to shape advisor success, represent the business across industry forums, and contribute to the continued growth of our banking platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a territory sales strategy by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing advisors through one-on-one meetings, educational sessions, client events, and presentations.

  • Partner with advisors using a consultative sales approach to identify needs, recommend banking and cash management solutions, and drive product adoption.

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, field leadership, and other business partners to communicate market insights, industry trends, and competitive developments.

  • Travel throughout the territory to conduct advisor meetings, facilitate training programs, support client events, and represent the organization at national, regional, and industry events.

  • Leverage proprietary tools, customer relationship management platforms, and sales analytics to identify opportunities, evaluate advisor practices, and enhance sales effectiveness.

  • Drive operational excellence by managing schedules, meeting preparation, follow-up activities, budget oversight, and advisor recognition initiatives.

  • Maintain required licenses, registrations, and regulatory compliance through completion of applicable training and continuing education requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry in a sales-focused role with deep knowledge of advisor business models, investment products, and financial solutions

  • Demonstrated expertise selling deposit and lending products, including checking and savings accounts, home lending solutions, securities-based lending, and credit card products

  • Active Series 7 or ability to obtain 90 days

  • Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days

  • Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days 

  • Ability to travel minimum of 50% and reside within the assigned region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce

  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively position proprietary products and solutions.

  • Experience applying consultative sales methodologies to influence advisor decision-making and drive business growth

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to speak to large audiences and influence and motivate diverse stakeholders

  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while managing competing priorities and delivering results

Remote Work

This position is remote.  Any expectations for travel or in-person collaboration will be discussed during the hiring process.  This position is eligible for remote work in these locations: Any US location

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
