Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands in film, television and advertising.

About You

The Animator will be responsible for creating animated elements, shots, and sequences under the guidance of the Lead Animator and VFX Supervisors. This role involves delivering both keyframe animation and animation utilizing motion capture data, to be integrated into live-action feature films, TV Series or commercials.

Your Role

  • Responsible for assignments including animation tests, shots, and final render
  • Occasionally tasked with previs and layout requirements, ensuring delivery on time and to an acceptable standard
  • Expected to produce a high volume of shots with multiple iterations, maintaining both speed and accuracy
  • Conduct initial self-directed troubleshooting and quality control of work, escalating issues to leads and supervisors as needed
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within a team
  • Fully engage to ensure the highest quality of animation is achieved within the project schedule

Your Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry experience in live-action commercials, film, or television
  • Strong understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, timing, and form
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Blender and Maya
  • Familiarity with rigging, camera work, and scene layout
  • Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of multiple aspects of the VFX pipeline
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills
  • Excellent in proactive problem-solving and finding solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment remotely
  • The ability to efficiently organize and prioritize work across multiple areas

Compensation: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
