SCR Mining and Tunnelling is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Mechanical Supervisor to join our underground mining operations team at Bissett, Manitoba.

Job Type

This is a full-time role in an underground mine setting with a 14/14 rotation, fly-in fly-out rotation

Work Location and Arrangements

This position is for employment in Bissett, Manitoba. Camp accommodation & meals provided.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Supervise and actively participate in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of underground heavy-duty mining equipment.
• Plan and assign daily work, coordinate manpower, and ensure required tools, parts, and equipment are available.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to mechanics, particularly for complex equipment issues and breakdowns.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and priority repairs to minimize downtime and maintain equipment availability.
• Monitor work progress, equipment status, and outstanding repairs, and communicate priorities with operations and management.
• Follow safety procedures, and Manitoba Regulation 212/2011 – Operation of Mines Regulation
• Always be physically and mentally fit for work

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• Trade Certification

• Completion of Common Core for First Line Supervisor

• Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role relating to maintenance and repairs of underground mining equipment
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Positive attitude with the ability to lead a team

Compensation Package & Benefits

The compensation range for the position is competitive and based on experience. Hourly base wages are $28.00 plus an hourly incentive bonus between $40.00 and 46.00.
