About CustomerGauge
CustomerGauge is the B2B account experience platform trusted by global enterprises to measure, act on, and monetize customer feedback. We help companies reduce churn, grow revenue, and build lasting customer loyalty through Net Promoter Score and account experience programs. Our customers include some of the world's most recognized brands across manufacturing, distribution, technology, and professional services.
The Role
We're looking for a presales solutions principal to serve as CustomerGauge's technical trusted advisor to mid-market and enterprise prospects across Europe and North America and occasionally farther afield. You'll own the technical and CX-program side of complex, high-value sales cycles, earning the confidence of buyers through deep NPS and CX domain expertise, hands-on solution architecture, and a consultative approach that sets CustomerGauge apart from the competition.
This is a deal-winning role. You'll partner with account executives from the first discovery call through technical close, and you'll be the person prospects trust to tell them how a program should be designed, how the platform fits their data and systems landscape, and what it will take to deliver measurable business outcomes.
You'll report to the CRO.
What You'll Do
- Bring genuine NPS and CX domain expertise into every conversation, connecting platform capabilities directly to measurable business outcomes that matter to the buyer
- Own the technical and CX-program side of sales cycles: lead discovery, solution architecture, proof-of-concept engagements, demonstrations, and executive presentations
- Partner closely with the sales team to shape, qualify, and accelerate deals from a technical and domain standpoint, positioning CustomerGauge as the clear, credible choice
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into solution designs that hold up under scrutiny: integration architecture, data flows, program configuration, and implementation approach
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires; run technical deep-dives with IT, data, and operations stakeholders, drawing on expert team members as needed
- Design and deliver tailored demos and proofs of concept that reflect each prospect's industry, data, and program goals
- Engage at all levels of the prospect organization, from IT architects and program owners to the C-suite, with equal fluency
- Hand off closed deals cleanly to services and account management with a clear record of scope, solution design, and success criteria
- Feed competitive intelligence and prospect requirements back to product and marketing to sharpen positioning and inform the roadmap
- Continuously develop demo environments, reference architectures, and presales assets that raise the bar for the wider sales team
- Extend the same in support of our customer Account Management team, i.e., work with existing customers on occasion in expansion sales pursuits.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of experience in presales solutions consulting or sales engineering, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Deep, hands-on expertise in NPS, customer experience measurement, or customer feedback programs; this is required, not a bonus. Experience with Voice of the Customer (VoC) program design and implementation
- Proven ability to lead complex technical sales cycles at the enterprise level: solution architecture, integration design, RFP responses, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Demonstrated track record as a technical trusted advisor whose counsel prospects seek on architecture, program design, and strategy
- Fluency in enterprise data and integration landscapes: CRM, ERP, data warehouses, APIs, SSO, and security and compliance requirements
- Strong executive presence; equally effective in a technical deep-dive and a C-suite presentation
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; you make the complex feel simple
- Bachelor's degree required
Nice to Have
- Background in industries where CustomerGauge has a strong presence: manufacturing, distribution, or enterprise technology
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
- Experience with survey, CX, or analytics platforms
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Health Insurance (Medical, Dental & Vision) 70% contribution for employees
- Participation in the SAR Plan
- Unlimited PTO (manager approval required)
- MacBook provided
- Occasional travel to customers and global offices
- Full-time remote position
Location
This role is remote, and we're ideally looking for someone based in Massachusetts, particularly Greater Boston. We'll consider well-qualified candidates on the East Coast (EST), however. Ability to support European sales cycles during reasonable East Coast hours is required.
