Job description

Join BMSI and help keep some of the UK's most advanced buildings running smoothly.

We're looking for an experienced Senior BMS Support Engineer to join our Midlands Support Team, covering the West Home Counties region. This role is suited to someone who already has a strong background within the Building Management Systems industry and is looking to further develop their career with one of the UK's leading BMS specialists.

You'll play a key role in supporting, maintaining and upgrading BMS installations across a varied customer base. Working as part of our established Midlands Support Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring customers' systems remain reliable, efficient and fully operational, while delivering the high standards of service BMSI is known for.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on customer BMS installations

  • Diagnosing and resolving faults across a range of building control systems

  • Responding to reactive service calls and system failures

  • Delivering upgrade projects, from controller replacements through to full BMS system modernisation works

  • Providing technical support and advice to customers

  • Producing accurate service reports and maintaining clear documentation

  • Building strong relationships with customers and acting as a trusted technical expert

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Proven experience working within the Building Management Systems (BMS) industry

  • Previous experience in a BMS Support, Service or Commissioning Engineer role

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Experience with Trend and Distech systems, including current and legacy products

  • A methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues

  • Good IT skills and confidence working with software-based control systems

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience with Tridium, Siemens and Cylon systems

  • Experience delivering controller replacement and BMS upgrade projects
