About project: 

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Utilities Architect (C2M/CC&B/MDM) for our U.S. client specializing in IT consulting and modernization for the energy and utilities sector. Our client focuses on delivering innovative solutions, including Customer Information Systems, advisory services, and large-scale transformation projects. Their mission is to support utility organizations in improving efficiency, reliability, and customer experience through advanced technology and strategic expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • As Senior Oracle Utilities Architect you will be providing end-to-end technical and functional architecture leadership across Oracle CCS, C2M, CC&B, MDM, and SGG.

  • You will be designing optimizing, and troubleshooting complex nightly batch schedules, multi-thread processing streams, and high-volume data loads ;

  • You will be driving Level 2 and Level 3 production triage for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents. Perform root-cause analysis for batch failures, long-running threads, data corruption, and integration bottlenecks;

  • You will be guiding technical teams on Java/Groovy component refactoring, Business Objects , Business Services, UI Maps, Zones, Algorithms, and Inbound/Outbound Web Services (IWS/XAI) within the Oracle Utilities Application Framework;

  • You will be overseeing usage calculations, VEE (Validation, Editing, and Estimation) rules, Interval Data (IMD) processing, smart meter event processing, and device lifecycle flows across SGG and MDM subsystems;

  • You will be leading technical impact assessments for Oracle cloud releases, service pack upgrades, OS/database patches, and environment refresh/backflow activities. Ensure zero-regression deployments through rigorous automated test governance.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Utilities implementations, upgrades, and managed services (CC&B v2.x, C2M v2.6+, CCS, MDM, SGG);

  • Batch Processing architecture: configuring thread allocation, batch job controls, batch monitoring queries, stream restarts, and error handling (e.g., usage transaction exclusions, POSTROUT log analysis);

  • Experience with OUAF (Oracle Utilities Application Framework), Java, Groovy, SQL/PL-SQL, HQL, COBOL-to-Java migrations, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment architecture;

  • Experience as a Technical/Functional Lead for utility clients, managing offshore teams of 5–15+ developers and engineers;

  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II compliance, NERC-CIP requirements, and ITIL incident/change management frameworks.

Nice to Have:

  • Certified Oracle Utilities Implementation Professional (CCS, C2M, or CC&B) is strongly preferred.
