Lead Qt/QML Developer (Desktop Applications)

We are looking for an experienced Lead Qt/QML Developer to join an international team working on a large-scale desktop application built with Qt, QML, and modern C++. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a mature product used globally, influence architectural decisions, and support other engineers in delivering high-quality software.

As a Lead, you will work closely with stakeholders and development teams, helping shape technical solutions while mentoring team members and promoting engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in software development

• Strong commercial experience with C++ (including modern C++)

• Experience developing desktop applications using Qt and QML

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and design patterns

• Experience working with large codebases and long-term software projects as well as smaller and more agile ones

• Familiarity with version control systems, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities

• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in an international environment

• English proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Windows and/or macOS development environments

• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies

• Experience supporting technical decisions and leading development teams

• Experience with Proof of Concept initiatives

• Python programming skills

• Docker knowledge

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain desktop or embedded applications using Qt/QML and modern C++

• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to define and deliver new features

• Drive architectural and technical decisions

• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices

• Support and mentor other developers

• Contribute to maintaining and evolving a large, established codebase

• Work independently and take ownership of delivered solutions

• Participate in Agile development processes
