Mojave Energy Systems, Inc.

HVAC & Refrigeration Equipment

Mojave produces novel liquid desiccant systems designed to change the nature of air conditioning by dramatically increasing energy efficiency and reducing the climate impact of AC. Mojave’s patented technology cools and dehumidifies the air, enabling the independent control of dew point and dry bulb. By focusing on dehumidification, lowering energy consumption, reducing refrigerant use, and improving indoor air quality for commercial buildings, Mojave’s ArctiDry product is an ideal solution for Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS). When compared to other alternatives on the market, ArctiDry offers a highly reliable, lowest cost-of-ownership product that reduces energy use by 40 to 60%. ArctiDry Systems also provide: - An unparalleled ISMRE2 efficiency rating of up to 11 lbs/kWh, which dramatically lowers electricity consumption by up to 50 percent while in cooling mode. - The ability to operate in heat pump mode as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit ambient (with supplemental heating options available for colder climates including gas, electric, and hot water). - Heating efficiency ISCOP greater than 3.0 (Integrated Seasonal Coefficient of Performance, per AHRI 920 test standard). - Takes advantage of the compressor it uses in summer to also pump heat from the outdoors into the building in winter, making it a more cost-effective heat source than a conventional gas or electric heater. - Able to efficiently heat, dehumidify, and cool the air as needed, all in a single easy to install and maintain unit. HVAC is critical to productivity and comfort in our indoor environments. As a result, it accounts for about 10% of total global electricity use and emits one billion tons of carbon dioxide. What if we could maintain the same comfort, reliability and purchase costs while lowering energy consumption and emissions? Get in touch with Mojave today.

Job description

About Mojave Energy Systems, Inc.

Mojave is changing the nature of air conditioning. Air conditioning consumes ~9% of total global electricity production and results in the emissions of 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually. It is time for a change, and Mojave’s liquid desiccant air conditioning systems are doing just that. If you want to change the world, starting with the world of air conditioning, then you may belong at Mojave. We are looking for purpose-driven team members who enjoy problem solving, teamwork, and personal growth to join our venture-backed company.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across an assigned territory by developing the sales channel, building engineer demand, supporting strategic projects, and converting opportunities into bookings.

This person will work closely with independent manufacturer reps, MEP consultants, mechanical contractors, owners, developers, and internal Mojave teams to position Mojave as the preferred solution for humidity control, DOAS, and high-performance dehumidification applications.

The right candidate is technical enough to earn credibility with engineers, commercial enough to close with reps and contractors, and entrepreneurial enough to build a territory from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage the regional sales channel: Recruit, onboard, train, and support independent manufacturer representatives across the assigned region. Ensure reps understand the technology, the applications, the sales process, and the project qualification criteria.
  • Drive basis-of-design specifications: Develop relationships with MEP consultants and design engineers to get Mojave written into early-stage designs, schedules, and specifications before projects go out to bid.
  • Create and manage a high-quality project pipeline: Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities in target verticals including education, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily, supermarkets, food processing, manufacturing, indoor agriculture, and other humidity-sensitive applications.
  • Train reps, engineers, and contractors: Deliver technical and commercial presentations that explain liquid desiccant technology, ISMRE2, dew point control, decoupled latent/sensible design, and the limitations of conventional DX DOAS systems.
  • Own regional sales strategy and execution; Create territory plans that define target accounts, key engineers, strategic reps, vertical priorities, competitive threats, and booking targets.
  • Support project development from concept to close: Work with reps and customers through early design, selection, pricing, bidding, submittals, value engineering, and purchase order conversion.
  • Translate technical value into commercial wins: Help customers understand how Mojave can reduce energy use, improve humidity control, reduce moisture-related issues, and improve system-level HVAC performance.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM and forecasting: Keep opportunities, project stages, close dates, values, next steps, and key stakeholders updated. Provide clear visibility into committed bookings, best-case opportunities, and long-term basis-of-design pipeline.
  • Collaborate with internal Mojave teams: Coordinate with applications engineering, product, operations, marketing, service, and leadership to support selections, proposals, project execution, customer feedback, and strategic account growth.
  • Represent Mojave as a category leader: Attend rep meetings, engineer lunch-and-learns, trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as a credible voice for high-performance dehumidification and next-generation HVAC design.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Strong experience in HVAC sales, applied equipment sales, engineering sales, or manufacturer representative sales.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with engineers, reps, contractors, and owners.
  • Track record of developing a territory, growing a pipeline, and closing commercial projects.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead technical discussions in front of engineers, contractors, and executive-level customers.
  • Self-starter mentality with the discipline to work remotely, manage priorities, and drive results without constant oversight.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecast bookings, and track sales activity.

Preferred

  • Experience selling DOAS, custom air handlers, applied rooftop units, dehumidification systems, VRF, chilled water systems, or energy-efficient HVAC technologies.
  • Existing relationships with manufacturer reps, MEP consultants, design-build contractors, or mechanical contractors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting early-stage design influence, basis-of-design specifications, or engineered equipment sales.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building applications where humidity control matters: schools, hospitals, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, food processing, supermarkets, and indoor agriculture.
