Job description

Are you ready to own something big? Automox is turning IT admins into IT heroes by replacing traditional tools with our award winning cloud-native endpoint management platform. Our product works autonomously and so do our teams. We value a ‘one team’ mentality where everyone’s unique skills contribute to an environment that encourages collaboration and ownership. At Automox you’re enabled to do your best work, grow your career, and have an impact that will be noticeable. WE ARE A_TOMOX… all that’s missing is U!

Role Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Account Manager to own a portfolio of customers and drive renewal, expansion, and long-term customer value.

This role is accountable for retention outcomes, expansion pipeline creation, and revenue growth, not just relationship management. The ideal candidate operates with strong commercial acumen, proactively identifies risk and opportunity, and partners cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes for both the customer and Automox.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Own renewal and retention outcomes across a defined book of business
  • Build and convert expansion pipeline (upsell, cross-sell, and whitespace)
  • Lead early, proactive engagement on at-risk accounts — no last-minute saves
  • Drive adoption of multi-year agreements (MYAs) and long-term customer commitments
  • Position and sell Turnkey, Premium Support, and adjacent offerings to increase stickiness and value
  • Conduct executive-level business reviews tied to customer outcomes and ROI
  • Develop and execute account plans with clear growth and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce
  • Partner with CSMs, Support, and Product to remove blockers and deliver outcomes
  • Identify and act on customer signals (usage, sentiment, risk) to drive action early
  • Operate with weekly execution cadence at the account level (pipeline, risk, renewals)

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3–5 years in account management, sales, or customer-facing revenue roles in SaaS
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed retention and expansion targets
  • Experience managing a book of business with quota accountability
  • Strong commercial instincts — able to negotiate, position value, and close deals
  • Ability to run executive conversations and influence decision-makers
  • Comfortable operating in a metrics-driven, forecast-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate technical products and cross-functional teams
  • Bias for action — proactive, not reactive in managing customer risk and opportunity
  • Experience with Salesforce and modern GTM tools (ChurnZero, Gong, etc.)

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Achieves or exceeds renewal rate and expansion targets
  • Maintains accurate forecast and ≥2x pipeline coverage
  • Drives adoption of MYAs, Turnkey, and premium offerings
  • Identifies and mitigates risk early in the renewal cycle
  • Builds strong relationships at both operator and executive levels
  • Operates with discipline in weekly account and pipeline cadence
