Job description

We're The Branding People, a Malaysia-based digital marketing agency serving brands across Southeast Asia. We turn insights into strategy, strategy into creative work, and creative work into measurable impact.

Our partners are scaling fast, and the demand for high-quality, engaging video content has never been higher. If you're a Video Editor who can transform raw footage, animations, voiceovers, and creative ideas into scroll-stopping content that drives real results — you'll fit right in.

What You'll Be Crafting

  • Produce 3–5 short-form videos daily (leveraging both manual editing and AI tools) for paid ads, brand campaigns, and social media platforms.

  • Own the end-to-end creative process from ideation, scripting, and storyboarding to editing, subtitling, and final delivery.

  • Create and optimize conversion-focused video content designed to drive clicks, leads, and sales, not just views.

  • Develop, test, and iterate on new creative angles, hooks, and storytelling approaches to improve content performance.

  • Collaborate closely with media buyers, marketers, and designers to align creatives with campaign goals, KPIs, and audience targeting.

  • Conduct research on trends, competitors, and high-performing ads, translating insights into actionable content ideas.

  • Enhance videos with motion graphics, sound design, subtitles, and visual effects to elevate engagement and retention.

  • Leverage AI tools for ideation, scripting, editing, and production workflows to improve efficiency and output quality.

  • Continuously analyze and improve content based on performance insights and feedback loops.

Your Superpowers

  • 3–5 years of experience in video editing, content creation, or performance marketing creatives.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, and strong familiarity with AI tools, prompting, and automation workflows.

  • Strong ability to craft engaging, conversion-driven storytelling that captures attention and drives action.

  • Proven track record of producing high-volume content without compromising quality or creativity.

  • Experience in scriptwriting, content ideation, and competitor research to develop effective creative strategies.

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and execute creative ideas with precision.

  • A keen eye for trends and a deep understanding of the social media landscape.

  • A collaborative mindset — you're comfortable working in a team and mentoring others when needed.

  • Leadership potential: proactive, responsible, and a guide to junior creatives or virtual assistants.

What You'll Get Here

  • Freedom to Work from Anywhere
Remote flexibility that empowers deep work and creative flow.

  • Upskilling That Actually Changes You
Workshops, coaching, and exposure to brands across SEA with real learning and real growth.

  • Lucrative Pay That Reflects Value
Competitive salary packages designed to reward excellence, not just attendance.

  • Health & Wellness Support
Benefits that keep your mind sharp and your energy sustainable.

  • People Who Want You to Win
A driven team that collaborates, questions, builds — and celebrates progress.

  • Plus More — Because We're Still Growing
We refine, improve, and innovate constantly. You grow as we grow.
