Pay: $225,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year

Location: Fresno, CA or Los Angeles, CA. We are hiring in both markets, with Fresno preferred for candidates looking to become an integral part of our Central California litigation practice. This is not intended as a fully remote position.

Note: Candidates must have an active California Bar license, 10+ years of litigation experience, meaningful trial experience, and a portable book of business of at least $250,000.

Job Description

  • Manage complex litigation matters from initial case evaluation through final resolution.
  • Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk, settlement opportunities, and litigation options.
  • Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, pretrial preparation, and trial.
  • First-chair or play a significant role in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
  • Manage commercial, business, real estate, employment, probate and trust, construction, financial, or other sophisticated disputes based on experience.
  • Communicate directly with clients and serve as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Oversee matters with minimal supervision while collaborating with partners, associates, and support staff.
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships and generate new business.
  • Travel for hearings, arbitrations, trials, and client matters when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 10+ years of substantive litigation experience.
  • Meaningful trial experience required.
  • Portable book of business of $250,000+ required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases from beginning to end with minimal oversight.
  • Strong deposition, motion practice, discovery, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial, business, real estate, employment, probate/trust, construction, or financial litigation experience is highly desirable.
