· Operationalize and maintain the scientific platform, lexicon, dissemination framework, and core narrative to support consistent Medical Affairs communication.

· Manage publication planning operations, including publication plans, steering committee activities, author engagement, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.

· Ensure publications and scientific communications follow Good Publication Practice, ICMJE authorship criteria, applicable industry standards, and internal review processes.

· Partner with Field Medical leadership to identify content needs, incorporate field insights, and keep resources timely, relevant, and aligned with launch-readiness priorities.

· Manage literature surveillance to monitor emerging data, congress outputs, publications, treatment landscape developments, and other information relevant to Medical Affairs priorities.

· Synthesize competitive intelligence and external scientific developments into actionable insights for narrative refinement, content planning, congress readiness, and cross-functional decision-making.

· Recommend content updates, communication priorities, and risk-mitigation actions based on emerging evidence, field insights, and competitive intelligence.

Functional Leadership & Capability Building

· Partner with Medical Affairs Operations to establish scalable content standards, templates, review processes, and operating models, including lifecycle practices for version control, periodic review, updates, archival, and retirement.

· Partner with Medical Review, Medical Information, HEOR, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs Operations to ensure scientific communications are aligned, accurate, non-promotional, scalable, and fit for purpose.

· Select, onboard, manage, and hold external medical communications, publications, and medical writing agencies accountable for quality, timelines, budgets, and contractual deliverables.

· Provide operational leadership to external partners and cross-functional teams, with accountability for execution quality, prioritization, metrics, and communication of impact.

Qualifications & Education

· Advanced scientific or clinical degree required, such as PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent; strong scientific writing and communication background required.

· 8+ years of relevant experience in scientific communications, publications, Medical Affairs, medical communications, or related biopharma functions.

· Demonstrated experience developing and executing publication plans, scientific platforms, congress plans, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, and other evidence dissemination deliverables.

· Strong working knowledge of Good Publication Practice, ICMJE authorship criteria, publication ethics, medical/legal/regulatory review processes, and industry expectations for transparency and scientific integrity.

· Proven ability to select, manage, and lead external agencies, medical writers, publication partners, and other vendors to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

· Ability to lead through influence, implement strategic direction, oversee complex cross-functional workstreams, and build scalable capabilities in an evolving organization.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex science into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate content for internal and external stakeholders.

· Strong prioritization, project management, and problem-solving skills, with comfort operating in a smaller, pre-commercial biotech environment where processes are being built and priorities may evolve.
