Position: Audiobook QA Expert — Portuguese (Portugal)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $15–$20/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in European Portuguese and assess the naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment of the narration.
  • Spot and log errors in synthesized speech, including skipped, added, or mispronounced words, incorrect number readings, and unnatural phrasing.
  • Categorize issues and mark the exact span using our review tooling.
  • Report on overall listener satisfaction and identify where narration feels natural versus where it breaks the experience.
  • Work consistently and carefully across many hours of audio without losing attention to detail.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Native or near-native fluency in European Portuguese.
  • Active, genuine audiobook listener with real opinions about good listening.
  • Enough working English to report clearly and communicate with the team.
  • Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or other detail-oriented review work.
  • Reliable availability of about 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Preferred

  • Experience in AI training-data, model-evaluation, or audio/QA annotation projects.
  • Background in language, editing, voice, or audio production.
