Job description

Contract - Product Photographer

This is a contract position (20–30 hours per week).


Location: Remote

Ideal Candidate:

The Product Photographer supports the company’s mission through creative social media, marketing, and product design. Ideal candidates are adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing engaging visuals that connect audiences to the message of God’s Word.

The Product Photographer supports the company’s mission to teach people the truth of Scripture and the beauty of Jesus through creative, beautiful, and compelling imagery. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented photographer with a strong eye for composition, styling, lighting, and visual storytelling. You bring fresh ideas while maintaining a cohesive brand aesthetic, work efficiently, communicate, receive feedback with humility, and consistently deliver excellent work on deadline. 

Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working as a Product Photographer, Photographer, or a similar role in the media industry
  • Proficiency in quality editing software such as Lightroom or Photoshop
  • Familiar with using photography equipment such as a camera, tripod, reflectors, lighting, backgrounds, and additional accessories
  • An attractive portfolio of past work will be an advantage
  • Formal education in photography is not required for this position, depending on the skills and experience of the individual candidate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to form new concepts for each product shoot

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and plan the composition of photographs; come up with creative ideas for product shoots
  • Photographs TDGC product (studies, lifestyle, home, etc.), capturing a realistic image of the item in a multitude of different ‘shots’.
  • Edit all images to create a cohesive aesthetic across the brand.
  • Upload content to storage and project management systems for use across different platforms.
  • Make changes or edits to photographs needed after submission.
  • Manage studio time and models needed for content and special photoshoots.
  • Source props that will enhance the product.
  • Stay up to date with the latest image editing software.
  • Strategize new ways to visually engage our audience and improve touch points the customer has with TDGC at every stage of the buying process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Commitment: Contract, on-going basis.


Additional Information:

Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Participation in meetings or collaborative sessions may be requested depending on project type and timeline.


Compensation: $40-$45 per hour
